Michael Crabtree Scouting Report by Myles Grand
Pros: Has the desired measurements for a franchise receiver. Is extremely dangerous after the catch; routinely turns 8-yard receptions into 30 yard gains. Has huge hands and excellent coordination for someone his size allowing him to haul in errant throws. Provides mismatch problems against diminutive cornerbacks as he can out-jump and properly angle his body to bring in the pass on fade and jump ball routes.
Cons: Is not a flat-out burner although he does have adequate speed so he can be caught from behind and dragged down. Texas Tech doesn't employ a full route tree so he hasn't run all the routes an NFL team will require so he'll need to learn the nuances of his position throughout training camp.
Overall: Crabtree is an award winning collegiate wide-receiver prospect who will continue his success at the professional level. He possesses all the fundamentals and talent to be a productive franchise receiver.
Michael Crabtree Scouting Report by BFD
Pros: His hands are strong and sticky, catches about anything thrown his way. Best hands of any reciever in any draft, up there with Calvin Johnson & Larry Fitzgerald. No one else holds a candle to this player as far as recievers go. Also great route running and has a quick double move. Plays with high intensity every snap and will play hurt, not a prima donna. Extremely athletic, was also recruited to play basketball at Texas Tech. Was a High School QB and can still throw the ball too.
Cons: Average 40 time, but game speed is faster.
Overall: Top 5 Propsect, shouldnt make it past Seattle unless Bradford or Stafford are still on the board. Otherwise I'm not sure you can pass him up. Definately wont make it past the Raiders at 7.
Michael Crabtree Scouting Report by Jabba
Pros: Speed, Hands, mindset, memory, route running ability, OUTSTANDING ability to get open as well as catch the jump ball
Cons: Slightly slow on hip turn for quick short routes
Overall: AMAZING WR, best in class by far, top 5-caliber draft pick, may have slightly slow hip turn, but won't need it with his speed and ability to get open deep. Barring injury, he has Randy Moss, maybe even Jerry Rice potential.
Michael Crabtree Scouting Report by James Sears
Pros: quick feet, smooth routes, great left and right hands, size, faster than some NFL recieves of the same size, over the right shoulder in endzone is best route
Cons: gun shy when going low in zone, hips on quick short routes are slow to get in pos.
Overall: number one prospect this year by far, more traditional talent than Calvin Johnson althought not the athlete, other recievers class do not come close
Michael Crabtree Scouting Report by Jim
Pros: Fast player who can return kicks and his very explosive at wideout.
Cons: If he declares, he will go very early which usually means a less than dynamic player at QB unlike what he was used to with Graham Harrell.
Overall: If he declares for the draft, he will be the number 1 rated receiver in the draft.
