| Pros: Tremendous football player and even better overall athlete. Former All State QB/S was also an All State basketball player in high school. 4 gold medals at state track meet as senior in 100, 200, 400, LJ. Excelled at Kansas State at WR despite only playing the position 3 years of his life. 2 touchdown passes and 2 punt return touchdowns in addition to all the receiving numbers senior year at KSU. Consensus All American. Furthest possible thing from having character issues. |
| Cons: Lack of experience at WR position. Lacks the polish and route running experience that many other receivers possess that make it to this point. Faces same high center of gravity issues that other big receivers due when cutting in and out of breaks. |
| Overall: Athlete in every sense of the word and a model citizen. The consummate teammate who will contribute in any way necessary. Fully capable of becoming a go-to receiver if need be. Catches everything thrown to him, and with his hands. Will likely shock people at the combine with total package of strength and athleticism, especially in the 40. In high school, vertical tested at 39 inches and 40 timed at 4.31 |
|
|
| Pros: Hands, Limited Dropped Passes, Speed, Elusive, Return Ability, Versatility, gets a lot of yards after the catch, Agressive |
| Cons: Build, Running Routes, Run Blocking, Ability to Be #1 or #2 Receiver, Adjustments needed to adjust to the NFL |
| Overall: Jordy Nelson is a very pesky receiver who is very underrated. He is really being seen by scouts as being that slot receiver who can become a pain for defenses to cover. He does open up the pass game though because he is so quick that they can go vertical to him. The one game that sticks out is against Kansas where he burnt All-American Corner Aqib Talib. He is probably a 3rd-4th round pick pending the combine. There is huge upside to this pick being of his hard work ethic and little room not to make some kind of impact on an NFL team. He was also a Finalist for the Biletnikoff Award after totaling 122 Catches and 1,606 Yards his Senior Season. |

Jordy Nelson
Scouting Report by ben g |
| Pros: absolutely huge, great big target, excellent hands, excelled in an nfl system desppiite the fact that he was the only target, also has above average speed, runs good routes, was an all-american and broke about every K-state receiving record. performed well against the two top corners he faced; aqib talib aand a guy from Colorado. He burned both for over 100 yards and at least 5-6 catches |
| Cons: was thrown to a lot so stats may be skewed, not a lot, and is very underrated due to a lack of exposure |
| Overall: deservs to be a middle of the 2nd roound talent, but will probably go in the third, although stock may rise rapidly as he is an aboslute beast and a workout warrior with no character concerns |
