Pros: True throwback type player. Heart and guts placed him ahead of some much more physically talented tailbacks at LSU. Versatile as both runner and blocker rushing for over 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns in the SEC. Has good speed for a FB running between 4.6-4.7 in the 40. Catches the ball out of the backfield and has a nose for the endzone.
Cons: A bit undersized at 225 lbs to paly FB in the NFL. Will need to bulk up some and improve as a blocker.
Overall: Projects as a versatile palyer at the next level. Could be a special teams super star if not a solid fullback. A great character guy who may not look the part but will deliver on the field.
Pros: A hardnosed tough football player who puts it all out on the field. He is a leader and is very clutch. He does not fumble, has soft hands, and always gains positive yards. Played special teams too.
Cons: He is not going to burn you with his speed and is a bit undersized as a true fullback.
Overall: He is a versatile hard nosed winner who will play in the NFL for years to come because of his attitude and work ethic.
Pros: Smart, tough, runs low to the ground, Alan Ameche, Jimmy Taylor type runner, good pass receiver, physically strong.
Cons: Size but his heart, determination, skills can make up for that.
Overall: Remembering the great running backs of old like Ameche and Taylor, runners the coach would call on when he needed tough yards, that's the quality Hester has. He'll fit well into the NFL.
