Pros: Speed, Break Tackle Ability, Arm Strength, Ability to get All Receivers the Ball. Doesn't Look to one target for a whole game.
Cons: Works in a Spread Offense That Uses some gadget plays. Is known to overthrow receivers with big arm. If he's not in a rhythm he won't find his receivers. Sometimes doesn't make the intelligent throw.
Overall: Dennis Dixon is a true College Quarterback who uses the Spread Offense to his advantage. With the Quarterbacks coming out this year, he'll have to make a huge splash at the combine impressing scouts to be considered a first day pick. Teams may like his versatility that he could develop into a Brad Smith Type Utility player. Although Playing the position he plays now is not out of the question in the NFL as he could build off his college success. The 6'4' Dixon was also drafted in the fifth round of the MLB Draft so he could be flirting with Baseball upon his graduation day. Dennis Dixon right now looks like he could get selected anywhere into the Second Day but only because theres a huge selection of Quarterbacks who have more potential then him.
Pros: Dennis Dixon has great speed, a very strong arm, and doesn't choose favorites, he gets the ball to all the recievers and is a playmaker with his arm and his legs.
Cons: Didn't work in a pro style offense so it will be hard making an nfl team, also tends to overthrow recievers because of his strong arm.
Overall: He's a great athlete and would be a great player to have on your team, the 07 class is very deep at quarterback and thats why he will be a second day pick. He might be like Antwaan Randal El' for the Redskins former qb turned wide reciever. But playing the position he knows best is probably the smartest thing. For Dennis Dixon making a huge impression on NFL scouts at the combine is a big deal.
