Pros: Markey has pretty good hands, as evident by his 35 catches a year ago. Has been a fairly a productive back in Karl Dorrell's west coast system. Has the ability to pound the ball between the tackles and can carry the ball 20+ times.
Cons: Markey has very limited speed. Has difficulty breaking away or running to the outside. Durability has become a concern. Doesnt seem to break enough tackles. Lost his job (and perhaps decreased his draft stock) to Khalil Bell at the beginning of the season because of his ineffectiveness. His ability to pass protect is average at best.
Overall: Markey, at the next level, would be a poor number 1, ok number 2, and good number 3 type back. He may have some success in a west coast system. Expect Markey to go undrafted. He is a complete work in progress and may be worth the risk signing with a team needing a back with the ability to catch the ball out of the back field. Dont expect Markey to have an impact at the NFL level.
