Pros: physical corner that will jam you at the line and hit you hard, great hands, discipline player that will maintain his zone coverage, playmaker
Cons: may draw illegal contacts due to physical nature, deep coverage is weak
Overall: Should be one of the top 3 corners taken in the draft. Most people have Flowers rated as their top corner (or 2nd corner) overall (including Mayock who rates him a top 15 player in the draft. Flowers played for a great defense, came out early from Va Tech, and will be a solid lockdown corner for some team. Look for Flowers to go from 12-26 in the draft. Stock is continually rising, and will peak as the draft begins.
Pros: He's a very physical hard hitting coner, who comes from a great system which produces first-round conerbacks. Has great ball skill, feet and hips, he's very smooth comming out of his breaks which allows him to break on a rout and break on the ball.
Cons: He just needs to show people he can run his 40 in the 4.4 area.
Overall: He's the more complete conerback out of this 2008 class. You just have to watch his film. This kid is the real deal.
Pros: This guy is the real deal. He can play the zone or man to man because he's so physical. He's a great player to come up and help support the run, has great feet, hips, balls skills, and very smooth comming out of his breaks.
Cons: long speed
Overall: Probly should be the first coner off the board. He's a complete conerback. He plays the game alot faster then he run a 40. You just have to watch his film and see for yourself.
