Pros: Aqib talib is one one the best cover corners coming out in the draft.Has great size, speed and has proven to be very physical something you want in 6"2 200lbs corner. Is a very great vocal leader on an off the field.Aqib has the rare size and speed that you dont see in most corners now days and that can be a plus! Puts you in remind of Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Projected to be top 3 cornerback taken in the draft.
Cons: Needs to prove that he can be a force in man to man coverage but, has shown much inprovement and only will get better as time goes on
Overall: Overall Aqib has the talent to be one of the best shut down corners in the NFL. With his size and athletic abilities skies the limit fior this kid. LOOK OUT!
Pros: Sure tackler who has one-on-one press coverage ability. Good recovery speed. Excellent against the run. Effective on offense during spot duty as a receiver, and on special teams returning kicks.
Cons: Talib loves to jump routes which makes him vulnerable on double moves. Talib was beaten deep by some of the Big 12's better receivers. Jordie Nelson of Kansas St. exposed Talib early in the season.
Overall: Would benefit from another year in college. Great potential, but needs to exercise a little more discipline and take fewer chances against better receivers. At best, a second round pick.
Pros: Talib has amazing athleticism, ridiculous speed, and exceptional return ability. Aqib also possess excellent cover skills, however....
Cons: He takes a lot of risks jumping passes and you can't take those kind of risks in the NFL. Also he is too much of a hothead. The showing off makes me wonder if he is a team player.
Overall: If Talib comes out he will be a mid 1st round to early 2nd round talent. He would benefit from another year at Kansas to get better and grow up a bit.
