Pros: A 340 pound big boy out of the best conference in the NCAA. a dominant run blocker who will also be a great pass blocker in the pros. can be very versatile but will play either tackle position in the NFL. a lot of experience and would give any o-line a huge boost.
Cons: some say hes a little small being just under 6-5. others say that he has some troubles against speed rushers that some saw him struggle in the florida game. to me none of these things will slow him down on the next level.
Overall: Andre Smith is without a doubt the best tackle in this draft. i am 99% certain that my Rams will take him with the #2 pick. i feel that he will start at right tackle until the great orlando pace retires. so as of now i see the rams o-line looking like RT-Orlando Pace, LG-Jacob Bell, C-Brett Romberg, RG- John Greco or Richie Incognito(hopefully not) RT- the big bad Andre Smith
Pros: Smith's a big guy at 6'5 339 lbs. He's got great pass blocking ability and run blocking. He led the best offensive line in the NCAA.
Cons: His size could also be a problem as well as a strength. His weight makes him very unagile so if a defensive lineman spins out of Smith's blocks, the quarterback better get rid of the ball quickly.
Overall: Smith is the best offensive lineman in this draft and possibly the best player in the draft. Has agility issues but I think his strength can make up for it.
