It didn't take long for Jim Mora to make the move everybody expected him to make since the day it was announced he would succeed Mike Holmgren as Seahawks coach after the 2008 season.
Mora hired Greg Knapp as his offensive coordinator. Knapp was Mora's offensive coordinator in Atlanta, and the two worked together in San Francisco as well.
This move likely means that Holmgren's long-time offensive coordinator, Gil Haskell, will be out.
Knapp was the offensive coordinator in Oakland, but he was relieved of his play-calling duties by Raiders interim coach Tom Cable, who assumed that task. Cable also served on Mora's staff in Atlanta. Greg Knapp will be the new offensive coordinator for the Seahawks, the first of many moves to be made by Seattle under new coach Jim Mora. A person familiar with the hire confirmed Wednesday that the 45-year-old Knapp has agreed to leave the Oakland Raiders to reunite with Mora, Knapp's former boss in Atlanta.
