Is benching Ryan stupid this week?

Should I start Ryan against washington's 2nd ranked pass D, or should I go with sleeper options such as Matt Cassel or Alex Smith?

if there were better options than cassel or smith out there then i would sit ryan, but he has as much chance if not more to get you points as the others you mentioned. he has been rattled by some aggressive secondaries the last few weeks. I wouldnt put WAS in that category, WAS are 2nd against the pass, but thats because teams run against them a lot (they are 22nd against the run). I think the falcons will do just that, so you should get solid returns from turner, ryan will have a solid game, roddy white will probably play so he might even get a longish TD or 2.

i say alex smith is the best play. but ryan will get you yur points if your not comfertable starting a 49er qb.
