Default The official "I hate LT" thread

Unless you are the proud owner of LT in any league, then you should know what I'm talking about. I mean this guy is a damn monster. In two leagues I'm in right now I drew a matchup in the first round vs. a team that is starting him. In both leagues I went in to the Sunday night game with a comfortable lead. When I say comfortable, I mean I went in to the game knowing that my opponent was starting LT, and I still was not worried. 199 yards and 2 TDs later, I'm down by 10 points in one league and hanging on by 3 points in the other. Damn you LT! Damn you to hell!

Lol. I started my season 1-5 in my money league, then went on a 4 game winning streak, bringing my record to 5-5 and putting myself back in Playoff contention. Then I played the LT owner and got my ass kicked in. I never recovered and ended up 6-7 and just missed the Playoffs

I think LT constitutes an unfair fantasy playing field. I mean the guy is a lock for at least 30 pts in most leagues. I was wondering if playing 3 WR (and a flex) or 2 QBs could offset the unbalance a bit. With more possibilities for points, it makes it easier to make up points. and the person that drafts LT (1st pick obviously) may miss out on a quality 2nd QB or 3rd WR which could mean the diference in a game. For example, the person who drafts LT will most likely get stuck with someone like brooks as a 2nd QB while others might have someone like Kitna or Pennington or Harrington. Do you think something like this would even the playing field?
I am playing LT in the final btw. Hope he gets sat

Well to be honest, I've seen people with good all around squads who have LT. It's usually the people who suffer injury issues or are new to drafting that screw themselves. I mean I'm in a league where the 2nd person picked up LT. His next pick was Westbrook, then he turned around and picked up Chad Johnson, Javon Walker, and Drew Brees. I mean in all honesty, the right pieces fell in to his lap. I looked at his roster and honestly said, hope Westbrook doesn't get hurt, Brees plays decent, and Walker makes the transition to Denver.

Guess he's laughing now.

In my league the #1 guy took Alexander, #2 took LT. The LT guy then took Carson Palmer in the 2nd round and Willie Parker in the 3rd. He went 10-3 and is in the Super Bowl this upcoming week

yeah. well, you know LT will be the first pick in every draft from now on. i mean you could have 2 studs and combined they will produce what LT produces in a normal week. in my league the guy with LT finished 13-1. he will beat a guy in the playoffs tonight and play me in the final next week. he just destroys everyone... except for me. i gave him the 1 loss and my team has largely consisted of scraps from waivers and good matchups. It was a lucky win though, Coles, Smith, Hasselbeck, and Ronnie Brown got me 20-30 pts each. But LT got him 37!

Well, who's to know he'll produce next year. For all we know, he may be on the cover of the next Madden.

It's official, 2 of my 6 teams in fantasy playoffs were eliminated solely because of LT. Another was eliminated because Harrison remembered his way to the endzone finally...Worst part is, in the league where LT didn't eliminate me, I'm now facing him in the 3rd place game. Doh!

LOL i think LT will see a drop in his numbers next year... Rivers will be more involved in the O so when teams plan to take away LT (and they will) the SD passing game will reap the bebfits and LT will see a small decline in his #'s, He will still be the top Fantasy Player but not like this year
