Default Chad Henne worth picking up?

I know he didn't look too impressive after Pennington went down, but they say the Miami coaches have raved about his skillset since he was drafted a year ago. He definately has the arm strength to be something down the line, but is he worth picking up RIGHT NOW is the question?

I have Cutler, Hasselbeck(injured) and Leftwich (just got benched). Should I drop Leftwhich for Henne? The only other starting QB's still available are Stafford, Boller, Johnson and Kolb. I think if Henne plays well enough, he might supplant Pennington as the starter permanently this year. He's already being bred to be the starter for next season anyways.

Those options are pretty bad, not sure Leftwich's benching is permanent and once Hasselbeck returns hes at least a viable back-up option. I mean if you NEED a qb for the next couple weeks, Henne is prolly your best option, but I would hold up to next week and see what the Leftwich situation is

It sounds like Tampa's gonna roll with the rookie for this next game coming up. At least, that's what ESPN is reporting (but we know what that's worth.)

And it's slim pickings on the waiver wire in my league. If you don't jump on something now, it most likely won't be there when you need it. The guy who has Pennington in my league had him as his number 1 QB and just picked up Sanchez as a backup, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's looking Henne's way, too.

If you need a qb in the next couple weeks jump on Henne if not I think Hasselbeck has more long-term value this season than Henne

Definately agree with that. I'll pick Henne up as insurance in case Hasselbeck isn't available on Cutler's bye week. Thanks man.
