Before i see another should I trade LT post look at this thread ( http://fantasyfootballjungle.com/for...c.php?t=176142 ), this is the only thing i have seen even close to fair in a LT trade and all of us said that trade was no good, and I think from what i have seen 99% of us on this forum will tell you to never trade LT. Yeah, I'm getting tired of the LT trade threads. However they do provide opportunities for 'snappy one-liners'

I believe this is that post:

Quote:

Reggie Brown had more than 5 receptions in a game only once all of last year. He topped 100 yards only twice. He was not even in the top 30 in receptions IN THE NFC ALONE! I know you will say Stallworth took all his catches away, but he did not. Stallworth only had 38 catches for 725 yards and 5 TD's

---Benson isn't quite a sleeper, but he is a risky pick. He has never carried a full workload in the NFL. The most carries he has taken in a season is 157. If he doubles that workload (which he probably will) We have no idea how his body will react and if he will stay healthy or be able to be productive for the whole season. It's basically his rookie season

---Calvin Johnson (even though he is insanely talented and has tons of potential) is a risk because rookie WR's almost always struggle. If you take the top 50 players in career receiving yards and look at their rookie seasons, only 3 (Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn, Randy Moss) have hit 1,000 yard receiving in their rookie year. Only 3 had 8 or more TD's in their rookie years (Marvin Harrison, Keyshawn Johnson, Randy Moss)

If you take the top 50 WR's of all time and average all of their stats their rookie years, here are the results: 35 catches, 539 yards, 4 TD's. Not exactly fantasy gold.

Taking it further: In the past 10 years, 39 WR's have been taken in the 1st round. The average over a 16 game season for all 39 in their rookie year? 41 catches, 578 yards, 4 TD's

There's your research
