Jason Garrett used T.O. as a scapegoat. He refused to listen to T.O. when he stated that they would be better off running shorter routes rather than running 15 and 20 yard outs that were easy to shut down with a cover 2 defense. The West Coast offense gets the ball into the hands of your playmakers early which negates the possibility of a double team by the corner and the safety. Ask Ray Lewis he said he knew exactly what the offense was going to do.

I gotta admit, I wasn't even thinking about Buffalo as a potential destination for Owens, yet it makes sense. Plus, Buffalo built an escape clause into the contract so it seems to be a win-win situation. T.O. thrives when he has something to prove.

To me this signing makes sense for Marketing but not for the team. TO will create a buzz for the Bills who get almost no press and i'm sure his jersey will sell and it will give some energy to that franchise again. Its not like bringing in a big time QB but he is a very popular NFL player.

But on the field I cant see Owens being happy with Trent Edwards throwing him the ball. Edwards is a weak armed check down QB who plays in swirling winds. But I guess you can say the jury is still out on Edwards so who knows. Things might work out. Its only a 1 year contract as well.

It makes the Bills better from a talent level but I am interested to see how TO will handle that situation.

The problem with TO though is weather its his fault or not he is a distraction. The press is always trying to get good quotes from him and they can blow things out of proportion. But thats because of the reputation Owens has.

My team has weak leadership in place right now. The head coach, the offensive coordinator and our care free "football isn't that important" quaterback. TO brought the negative media with him but at least he was pissed when we lost. I hate to lose. Winning is paramount.
