dont you think pitt is going to be concerned about the pass as much as philly though? if not more after larry fitz had 3 first half td's? i mean you said it yourself, they probably wont see 8 men fronts to often, and with the passing game at the level it is, i dont really see the running game suffering too much. Now are they going to be the new york giants and run 40 times for 250 total yards? no. But will edge get 15-20 carries and hightower get 7-12, for a total of 100 yards or so? I think so.

Pittsburgh's D isn't comparable to Philadelphia's. Just because the Steelers wont have 8 man fronts doesnt mean that the Cardinals will be able to run it as well as they did on the Eagles

Larry Fitzgerald said he would be willing to re-structure his contract if it will help keep Boldin on the team. I love Fitzgerald, not only is he probably the best receiver in the league, he is a good person and a good teammate. Willing to take less money to keep his team competitive

Three things about this game I noticed:
1) I always knew Fitz was an elite receiver but being able to see the guy play throughout the playoffs and in the Super Bowl has made me believe that he is the best receiver in the league today. Hands down. He catches whatever comes his way, the man can jump, and despite what they tried to say during the pre-game, homeboy can run too.

2) Arizona might not have shocked the world the way they wanted to, but they certainly did leave me in awe. Yeah, Arizona had become the trendy pick to win, as most underdogs do, but realistically, the majority of the people had Pitt winning handily. I too was close to dismissing the SB (if it werent for the commercials, which overall sucked this year too) after the first quarter. But Arizona battled back, got the Mo on their side and then lost it again on that last play of the half. That right there should have buried the team, but they again fought back and took the lead late, despite some very crucial penalties against them. My hats off to the Cardinals, they might not have won the game but I bet they won some new fans and a lot more respect.

3) Final thing, can anyone just tackle Big Ben? We've seen him do it all year long and again it was one of the big storylines pre-game about Ben's ability to extend a play, but sometimes it just looks like the guy is playing a video game back there. It's one thing to get away with it once (a la Eli in last years SB) but there were 4-5 times that Ben should have been sacked but he got out of it AND made a play downfield. I don't like Ben as a QB, but I can certainly respect what he did last night.

Now, I don't know about you guys but I'll be in Hawaii next week so until post Pro Bowl, I'll be gone. Although, I haven't been around as much as years past this year, but you can chalk that up to tons of things. On to the business season!

Congrats to Pittsburgh, and Arizona for that matter, that was a great game, up there with some of the best Superbowls of all time.

I do have to say that was probably the worst officiating I've seen in a Superbowl, which pretty much goes along with the theme of the rest of the year.

I would say the officiating in the Pitt-Seattle super bowl was worse, but this was real bad as well

I must say I liked the outcome of the Super Bowl. And the only part of my playoff predictions that was right was Pittsburgh.....
