Lions hired Titans D Coordinator Jim Schwartz as their Head Coach. I was a bit taken aback at first, but this actually isnt a bad move. Schwartz has been in charge of the Titans defense for 8 seasons now, and for the last 2 seasons the Titans have been in the top 7 in yards per game allowed and in the top 8 in points per game allowed

In other coaching news, the Jets interviewed Spagnuolo for a second time. Rex Ryan is still believed to be the leading candidate, and they Jets are waiting for Ryan and Russ Grimm to finish their seasons before hiring a coach

Only teams left without Head Coaches are the Jets, Raiders, Rams, and possibly Chiefs if Herm Edwards is let go

For the Jets it looks like its going to come down to Ryan and Grimm. I want Ryan and I think in the end he is the guy who is going to get the job.

Jon Gruden has been fired in Tampa. I'm pretty surprised by this move, I didnt even think about Gruden being let go

I hear Dom Capers is in the mix now as well.

I'm hoping Capers or Hasslet, considering McDerrmott will be the Fraziers replacement in Minnesota if/when he gets a HC job

When your team collapses anything can happen.

If im the Jets im talking to Gruden before I hire Ryan, Grimm, or Spags.

Looks like Spagnuolo is taken for you Jets fans. ESPN is reporting he agreed with the Rams.

Looks like Rex Ryan is going to be the Jets next head coach. I like that choice if it indeed happens.
