I went 1-3 in the Wild Card rounds, not a solid showing at all. And michael, I was wrong about the Chargers-Colts. Good call

Not very happy with Tarvaris or the coaching staff. There are a few options though for QB next year that I like:
Warner - short term option but the guy can still play and fun to watch
Cassel - won't happen since NE is franchising him now
Garcia - again short term option
Carr - I think this guy can play, he wasn't given much of a shot behind the Houston line when he was there. I really wouldn't mind go after this guy and giving him a shot here.
Harrington - Just kidding

Regardless if Cassel gets franchised or not idk if I would want him as the QB of my team anyway. Cassel compiled a lot of numbers against poor defenses like the Jets, Cardinals, Seahawks, Dolphins, Denver. Thats 1,909 yards with 14 TD's. Thats more then half of his numbers and those teams were bad at defending the pass. Now good QB's beat up on bad teams thats true but this is also a QB coached by a great coach in a great system with great weapons.
Those are stats based off of 7 games. His averages against the other teams come out to 198 yards per game, 1 TD, and 1 INT per game if I am doing that right.
IDK something would just worry me about him being brought in to QB my team. I'd rather watch him go somewhere else and see what he does there.
I dont think Warner is a good fit in Minnesotta. The guy on your list who I would go after would be Jeff Garcia. Like you said he is a short term option but he is a solid QB who can manage a game for you at the very least.

"Cassel compiled a lot of numbers against poor defenses" have you seen what division the Vikes are in? He sounds like our guy for sure then going against poor defenses
I agree with you though. I don't think Warner will come here anyways and we don't have a #1 receiver here. I like Garcia and maybe pick him up for a few years and maybe by 2011 Tarvaris will be ready to start.

Maybe we'll pick up Vick this summer if he gets released from the Falcons. He may not be the best QB but he has talent and sure makes things interesting. I'd love it just to stir up things here a bit.
Saint, not sure if you listen to any radio from MN but lots of fans are obviously upset with Chilly and his horrible adjustments made during the game and the lack of offensive creativity during the year. Many ticket holders said that they would no way purchase season tickets if after the press conference (that is tomorrow) if Chilly doesn't address the QB situation and inform fans that they would be seeking a new QB for this franchise.

No thanks for Vick. He was never a good passer, and being out of football for 2 years will do nothing but hurt every part of his game. I don't think we'll ever see Michael Vick in the NFL again.
I'm from Winnipeg, and although I do get Kfan up here, I rarely listen. That doesn't surprise me that Chilly's taking his hits. Minnesota fans have almost become Philadelphia-like. Some of them were calling for Chilly's head before he coached a single game.
Just because a coach is unliked and criticized, does not make him a poor coach. Many people disliked Bill Walsh after 2 years in SF, Tom Coughlin was under just as much pressure as Chilly is after 3 years in NY, hell even this season most of the Philli Fans were calling for Andy Reid's head, and look what he's accomplished since.
Fans are becoming more and more impatient each year in sports.

What a weird year.
NFC Championship game between the #4 and #6 seed who only won a combined 18 games
#1 seed already out in the AFC
#6 seed in the AFC will be in the Championshp game
Rookie QB wins 2 games
Arizona Cardinals hosting the NFC title game?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cardinals in the Super Bowl. They are playing very, very well.

I did really bad on the predictions. All of my conference final teams are out except Pittsburgh, I think anyway.
A four seed hosting a title game, with the possibility of another 4 seed hosting. Baltimore's rolling. Arizona's doing sweet after everyone thought they were done.

I just can't believe how Arizona just all of a sudden turned things on like they did. Although it did seem that Delhomme was throwing the game. I wonder how much he got paid for that one. Pitt vs. Balt should be a good game, hopefully it comes down to a last minute field goal. I really don't know what to think about the other game. I can see it being a blow out in either direction. I really don't think it will be that close of a game, I think one team will implode and not show up. Both teams were very streaky during the year.

im actually on the bandwagon for the cards to win it all now. I think they have as much momentum as philly does, and the teams are evenly matched. The key factor though is arizona is playing at home, and i think that gives them a close win over philly.
As for the steelers ravens, it is very very very tough to beat a team 3 times in one season (see the giants over dallas last year). Pitt has won both games by a TD or less, and the third time should be a charm for baltimore. They are playing better than ever and Big Ben's health is in question. They should knock him out of the game and eventually win a close one.
As for the superbowl, I think arizona has enough firepower on offense to score more points than baltimore, even with that awesome defense. I think the warm weather conditions will help them as well. Plus, I'd go with a guy like Warner who has been there before over a rookie qb who is playing a bit over his head, partially because he might not realize how amazing his run has been. Arizona takes it in tampa 17-13.
