You still define the word.
I think Jets makes a great point about the Chargers. They are playing better, but Gates and LT's condition is huge reason for concern. That said, the Chargers have played without either one at 100 percent all season.
Rivers does deserve more acclaim for his season. I would still give Manning the MVP nod because of what he did late in the season. The Colts don't win but 4 or 5 games without him either. They've had no run game and when Bob Sanders isn't playing, the defense is putrid.
As for the game itself, I think this is always a premier matchup. I like the Colts more here because their defense has been better than San Diego's as long as Sanders is in the game. Another 23-20 affair would not be surprising, though.
As for the Eagles/Vikings, that all depends on which Eagles team shows up. I think the Vikings are established as to what they are. The Eagles have the potential to go to the Super Bowl. I personally don't feel that way about the Vikes. I also believe the Eagles are capable of bowing out in the first round. Is it going to be the Eagles, who looked dominant against Dallas and the Giants late in the season? Or is it the Philly squad that tied Cincinnati and couldn't do anything right against a struggling Redskins team? If it's the latter, Peterson and the Vikes will destroy Philly. If the Eagles decide they want to play, then I expect them to coast to a victory. They're truly the most inconsistent team in the playoffs.

The Chargers are not 8 and 8 because of Rivers. Almost all of Rivers numbers have been better than Manning this year. I understand that Manning will obviously get all of the recognition for MVP because of what he did in the past but seriously this year without Rivers the Chargers would've won 3 maybe 4 games. They are in the playoffs because he literally put them on his back. I know Manning got the MVP but there could have been a serious case for Rivers this year and anyone who says anything different needs to get off of the juice. Can't wait for the game. Lets see who the real MVP is today!

I agree with you here. Rivers gets my vote for MVP. I don't know how he only got 2 votes. He's got the highest QB Rating out of all QBs and he was excellent particularly down the stretch as well as all season long. Rivers was a huge reason why San Diego even made the playoffs. With Tomlinson underperforming this year, he really stepped up his game and threw for 34 TDs which was tied for the league lead. Manning gets a close second place vote for me.

Thank you, this is exactly what I'm talking about. Eagles are the "hot" team coming in, but in reality they remind me of the Redskins last season.
Honestly, I hope everyone underestimates the Vikings, that's when they seem to play their best, as the underdog.

Comon Saint33, look where I'm from. You think I don't follow the Vikes? I respect opinions on this board and everywhere else. You however pointed mine out bashed my opinions and obviously have way too much time on your hands to write up that much of a review but you made sound good points but either way I stand by my opinions and think if any other coach was in MN with the talent on this team would be doing better and not struggle against poor teams like they have been. Obviously the fans here don't have a whole lot of faith if they can't even sell out the game. Because I'm such a homer I'll be at the game tomorrow if it gets blacked out but I wouldn't be going expecting to see a win, if they pull it off I would be surprised.

Hmmm. That was a great game and the hotter team won. It shouldn't have even gone to OT if Sproles didn't fumble at the 1 but oh well. Fun to watch and see the Colts lose. Great prediction on your part and talking trash about my picks. I respect your opinion though but just goes to show you that you should respect others.

Darren Sproles just made himself a lot of money. I hope Reggie Bush is watching because that's the type of player he was supposed to be. If I'm San Diego, I don't let him go at all. Franchise him especially with L.T. on his last legs.

For the record, I predicted both these games today. Let's see how I fare tomorrow.

Good calls black. The first game I could see going either way and betting wise I stayed away from it. I bet on the Chargers and the Eagles to cover but since the Chargers already won I may hedge my bet just so I can cheer on the Vikes. Who knows, miracles can happen lol.
