I'm attempting to figure out why this is worthy of its own thread. The only thing I can think of is that, if I remember correctly, cubuffsman wasn't high on either guy. Is that the entire point of this post?

lol that's all I can come up with. I do remember cubbs thinking both were very overrated and had very good chances at being busts. But then a again no one on this board was very high on Darelle Revis.

I liked Beason however.

I havent watched Beason play much this season so I dont have any real strong thoughts on him.

Revis however belongs there in my opinion. He has truly emerged as one of the better CB's in the AFC.

I've already admitted being wrong about both players on this Website. If that's all this is then it's pathetic. I don't struggle admitting I'm wrong about my opinions. I share them strongly and argue them with conviction. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. You won't see me cower from it and it won't stop me being opinionated the next time around. I think that's how everyone should react to being proven wrong.

Revis is good, but not elite. Beason is one of the league's best at his position already. He should be a perennial Pro Bowler/All-Pro.

lol definitely remember that...

I was high on Beason if I remember right, not quite as high on Revis as you probably were but was a fan of him.

Haha, I am messing with Cubuffs a little bit only because I remember before the draft we got into a big argument about Revis.

But I also remember a lot of people knocking my mock because they thought I had Beason and Revis to high in the first round, not just cubuffs.

I was just giving you guys shit more than anything, I'm sure I've been wrong more than once on this board as well.

I guess I should have put a winky face instead of just a smiley face.

Hope this helps.

I've said it before and I will say it again: I have never been so happy to be wrong as I was with Revis. The fact that the Jets pass defense is so terrible masks how good he is

Couldnt agree more. I could write a book on how much sleep I have lost because of this Jets pass defense.

You have Revis who in my opinon is one of the betetr CB's in the AFC and then you have Kerry Rhodes who is a pro bowl caliber Safety. And then you surround them with garbage.

Law has had one good game since he became a Jet (Patriots game), Lowery has struggled mightily as a rookie and then you have Elam who its hard to knock because he has made some big plays this season but he cant cover anybody and then Eric Smith who I am still waiting for somebody to explain to me why he has a roster spot on this team or gets the playing time he does. Then of course you have the David Barrets and Drew Colemans of the world. And then throw in the fact that the only starting Linebacker the Jets have that is good in coverage is David Harris and you have the makings of a awful pass defense.

They cant use Kerry Rhodes the way they need to because they need him in coverage.

Anyway yeah i'm really glad they drafted Darrelle Revis.
