Now its time to start dissecting
AFC:
I think Rivers or Pennington should have gotten in over Favre
Chris Johnson is a good choice at RB, but I think another rookie RB got snubbed. I would have picked Steve Slaton over Ronnie Brown
I'm a little surprised Welker got in over Moss, considering Moss has way more name recognition and had 10 TD's to Welkers 2. Welker only has 163 more yards.
Ryan Clady should be in over Peters. Denver is 2nd in the NFL in sacks against, Buffalo is 23rd
I'd probably put Dallas Clark in over Gates. Gates is another name recognition situation
This is going to sound biased, but Freeney over Shaun Ellis? Freeney has 9.5 sacks, Ellis 8. But Ellis has 54 tackles to Freeneys 24. 1.5 sacks are equal to 30 tackles?
Terrell Suggs? Really? Lamarr Woodley or Calvin Pace are more deserving
Ray Lewis got in on name recognition. I would have sent D'Qwell Jackson. Dude leads the NFL in tackles and doesnt make the Pro-Bowl?

AFC
* I agree on Favre. Shouldn't be there. His play is a big reason the Jets are slumping. Rivers is the biggest snub of this roster.
* I agree about Slaton over Brown as well, even Marshawn Lynch.
* Welker is an iffy pick, but he does lead the AFC in receptions. I'm glad Andre Johnson was the top selection. He's the best receiver in the league.
NFC
* Eli shouldn't be there. He's a casualty of the Giants last two losses. There's a formula to beating the G-Men and Dallas and Philly have executed it to a tee the last weeks. Make Eli beat you. He still couldn't do it consistently. Romo, McNabb, Aaron Rodgers or even Matt Ryan would deserve the nod over Eli.
* Portis got a lot of votes early on, but I think DeAngelo Williams is more deserving.
* Man it's hard to take off any of those receivers, but I'd love to see Calvin Johnson on this list.
* I believe every Dallas player on the list this season deserves the honor. I'm thrilled for Jay Ratliff. He's been phenomenal this season and is playing like the best 3-4 NT in the league. He's a huge piece of the recent dominance shown by the Dallas defense. Ware is an obvious selection.
* I'm also glad several of the Redskins voted on by the fan vote due to their heavy advertising to get people to vote were cast off thanks to the player's vote. The Redskins who made it deserve it, but many of the guys who were voted on by fans weren't deserving.

NFC:
I would like to have seen Calvin Johnson and/or Greg Jennings, but who would you take out?? Logjam at WR in the NFC
I like seeing Jordan Gross on there. I've always felt he was underrated. With Walter Jones and Chris Samuels out I'd like to see Jon Runyan and Marc Colombo in instead.
I dont really think Eli Manning deserves to be in. 9th in the NFC in QB rating, and 8th in yards is Pro Bowl worthy? Matt Ryan has a better completion %, more yards, less INT's and a better QB rating. Tony Romo is 3rd in the NFC in TD's, 1st in QB rating and has more yards than Manning, and thats while missing 3 games
DeAngelo Williams really deserves to be on there, but you cant take off any of the 3 guys who made it
John Abraham deserves consideration, but again its hard to take any of those 3 guys out

shouldn't be in:
Jason Peters
Brett Favre
Le'ron McLain (because he's a RB on Baltimore not a FB. FB's don't get 180+ rushing attempts! Lorenzo Neal is the FB in Baltimore)
Ray Lewis
Walter Jones
Leonard Davis
Eli Manning
Derrick Brooks
snubs:
John Abraham big time, I think he's been the best DE in the league this season.
David Diehl
DeAngelo Williams
Chad Greenway
Jonathan Vilma
Phillip Rivers
Steve Slaton
Lamar Woodley
Haloti Ngata
players I'm glad to see make it:
Antoine Winfield
Roddy White
Jay Ratliff
Mike Sellers
Nick Mangold
Michael Roos
Cortland Finnegan

Favre doesnt belong there. It should be Rivers.
Where is John Abraham? He's got 16.5 sacks and is third in the NFL in that category. I know sacks dont tell the whole story but 16.5 is a high number.

I agree Abraham deserves consideration, but its hard to leave any of the guys ahead of him out. Allen only has 1 less sack, but 15 more tackles. Peppers has 3 less sacks, but 11 more tackles and 2 more forced fumbles. Tuck has 12 sacks and 60 tackles, which is a very big number for a DE. I think the fact that Abraham isn't an every down DE who stops the run and rushes the passer hurts him

I think the actual pro bowl game is a waste of time. I've never watched it and never will. I like the fact that they name people who played above and beyond others but the actual game I think is a waste.
I agree with Jets on the majority of his opinions.
