Default Week 13 Thoughts

- Boy was it cold at the Jets/Denver game lol. Horrible performance by the Jets. The first TD by Denver on the Cotchery "fumble" was a bad call but you win some and you lose some as far as officiating goes. The Jets never really got into a rythm during this game. I thought one of the biggest moments of the game was early in the 4th. The Jets went on a good drive and were sitting 1st and goal but couldnt score and had to settle for a FG which kept it a 2 score game instead of making it a 1 score game. Not a terrible loss for the Jets but its a game at home after back to back tough road wins that you would like to see them win. I was glad to see Mangini was obviously pissed off in his post game press conference.

- Pittsburgh has a tough schedule down the stretch but I think there going to get the 2 seed over the Jets or Pats. I think they basically knocked the Pats out of that spot with their win over them today. Keeps the Jets two games ahead of New Englans as well (1 game up plus division record)

- Giants win. It's getting old saying that but man are they good. Listen to these wins. Washington twice, At Arizona, at Philly, Dallas, at Pitt, and Baltimore. Thats pretty damn impressive right there. They are in a league of their own. Obviously anybody could get picked off but just going by performance the Giants are the clear cut favorites to win the Super Bowl at this point in the season.

- Good win by Dallas against the Seahawks on Thanksgiving. After the Redskin win they needed the next two and they got them. I really want to see how they fair against the Steelers next week and then home against the Giants. These next two games are big tests for them.

- Miami needed to beat the Rams and they did. It wasnt pretty but they will take it and with the Jets and Pats both losing Miami is back in the thick of things in the AFC East. At this point in the season I give them a better chance of winning the division then the Patriots simply because they will get another crack at the Jets and the Pats dont. That will be Chad's first game back to the Meadowlnads and that game could decide the division.

- Big win for the Steeler this week IMO. I do beleive they win the #2 seed in the AFC, with a little help that game week 16 vs TEN could be for the #1 seed in the conference. The Steelers front seven is amazing and Polamalu IMO is one of, if not the, best saftey in the game. They have a tough schedule coming up, but they are a tough team to beat.

- I am now convinced after beating Carolina and now Sd on the road the Falcons are for real, and Mike Smith is my coach of the year right now, very impressive.

- Hey look at that, its cold and sloppy weather and Brett Favre had an awful game, wow does that sound familiar, sorry Jets fans but hat was a tough loss IMO specially after the two HUGE road wins.

- the Giants are def the best team in the NFL IMO.

- Terrible loss for the Packers, all those injuries on D and their inability to cover kick-offs and punt the ball more than 30 yards has finally cost them their season IMO. At least it looks like they made a good decision on committing to Rodgers for the long-haul, b/c IMO going back to the off-season if they had let favre come back to GB and demoted Rodgers back to "back-up" status after telling him he was the starter I doubt he would;ve ever re-signed with GB

I'm still so disgusted I can barely even discuss this. #3 run d in the nfl and we get carved up by a 5th string rookie who started the year as the backup fullback

Yeah just a horrible performance by the whole defense. There very slow on D. They are built to stop the run and basically nothing else. Their LB's cant cover and they have 2 good DB's in Revis and Rhodes. The other guys are either to old, to young and inexperienced, or just flat out not any good.

Hopefully with SF, Buffalo, and Seattle coming up the Jets can get to 11-4 going into the Miami game at home.
