He's being smart because he knows once Tatum Bell goes down he steps in. I think Clarett will shock the NFL.

Thats if Tatum Bell goes down. Clarret has lost a lot if he can only run a 4.8 40. Hell I can run a faster 40 than him. Tatum Bell is the man in Denver followed by Mike Anderson.

The 40 is just numbers, what matters is what you do on game day, and what Clarett did on gamedays justifies his time I think.

It's a stupid move by Clarett. Those incentive-based contracts look so darn good on paper, but rarely do they even come close to earning the player what he would've made with a conventional deal. Ricky Williams and Sean Taylor are the two most glaring examples. Clarett has a high likelihood of making pennies in 2005, ha.

Its a responsible move by Clarett, its his way of showing that he is glad to be in the NFL, he wants to earn his keep and that is a good move for a person who everyone knocks all the time.

you can't count on any player getting injured

Jerome Bettis doesnt run too fast and he doesnt suck now does he?
And if you are going to say "At Least Bettis has Power" Well Bettis isnt as shifty as Clarett is with his moves.
