He says he gets consideration for what Haynesworth does for that Defense. I said if that is the case then Jenkins should get consideration as well. I never judged the players on who I thought was better.

Jenkins has every bit the same impact on the Jets defense that Haynesworth has on the Titans. It doesnt mean he is better then him though.

Afraid not. Jenkins has a heavy impact in the run game. What he does for a pass rush is mediocre at best.

Haynesworth is a disruptive force in the run and passing games and has 7 sacks this season. He's without a doubt the Defensive MVP this far into the season.

The only other DT who comes close to having the same impact Haynesworth has this season is Kevin Williams, but the argument for Williams is he has Jared Allen next to him, giving Williams ample opportunity for sacks.

Haynesworth leads Tennessee in sacks and has stepped up his pass rush with Kyle Vandenbosch being injured. Other guys on the Titans' line get sacks because of Haynesworth's presence. Everything is centered around him.

When it really comes down to it, only one other DL is arguably having the type of impact Haynesworth is -- Justin Tuck.

I agree that Hayneworth has more of an impact in Pass rushing. However Jenkins doesnt have to have sacks to have an impact in pass rushing. His job is to open up holes. He blows the center off the ball all the time and opens up lanes for DE's and LB's.

Titans defense is better then the Jets D. Haynesworth is better then Jenkins but it doesnt mean that they both cant have the same effect on the players around them.

As far as Defensive MVP's go I would rank them as so.

Albert Haynesworth
Jerome Harrison
Joey Porter
Kris Jenkins
