Scott Pioli staying in NE

Scott Pioli, NE's VP of player personnel, signed a contract extension to stay in NE. The details regarding the length and salary were not released. This is a huge relief for us Pat's fans. There were a few teams interested in making Pioli their GM for more than twice his current salary.

Pioli, Belichick, and Brady should all be around here for a while. Thats bad news for he rest of the league, but music to my ears.

NE does a nice job of keeping their guys under contract. The Pats could win a lot of games when this decade is over.

Yeah, I'm glad Pioli isn't getting bored here. A lot of guys would want to jump to the GM position and have more power. I think he realizes he doesn't have to prove to anyone else that he can succeed without Belichick. He's only the 3rd exec. ever to win exec. of the year 2 years in a row. I'm sure he'll also be paid very well from now on. As far as I know, there's no salary cap for exec.'s.
