Default Week 10 Thoughts

- Good win for the Jets- Not much to say here. They were better then the Rams and they didnt play down to there level. Huge game coming up this thursday at New England.

- Giants keep racking up the wins. The NFC East is all but over now after that win. There 8-1 and playing real good football. There the best team in the NFL. They have won in Pitt and in Philly this year. Those are nice road wins. The Giants are so tough to stop. They pound you with Jacobs and Ward all game and then use Bradshaw in the 4th to give Jacobs a blow and then come right back with him. Thats very tough for oppossing Defenses to stop. The Eagles are good at stopping run and what did the Giants do? They walked right into Philly and ran the ball right dow there throats. They rushed for over 200 yards. And Eli makes the plays he needs to make.

- Peyton Manning is so good. The Colts maybe have 3 wins right now without him. Huge win for the Colts going into Pitt and getting the job done. At 5-4 now there going to be fighting for a wildcard spot.

- The Bills were 4-0 and now there 5-4. I wasnt a big Trent Edwards fan and he is starting to play like I thought he would. There having a hard time running the ball as well.

- How about Baltimore and Atlanta. Like I said last week its good to see two rookie QB's come in and play well.

Pitiful by the Packers. They can't rush the passer and Bob Sanders' philosophy is you get pressure with your front four or you don't get pressure at all. He's not aggressive enough to blitz.

The offensive line is bad. Tauscher and Clifton are worn down and they've had good careers, but they just can't hold their own anymore. The interior line is awful.

The run defense can't do anything either. The defensive line gets pushed off the ball. The run defense did show improvement against Indy and Seattle, but they've reverted back to themselves the last two weeks. The Packers coaching staff needs to teach this team how to tackle. Nobody locks up. They all go for the big hit and bounce off the opponent.

The only good thing this team has going for them is if they beat the Bears and Minnesota loses at Tampa Bay, it's a three way tied in the North.

For the rest of the league.

Giants and Panthers are clearly the best teams in the NFC in my opinion. Panthers played poor against the Raiders, but they're 7-2 right now and nobody is talking about them. If Dallas or Philly were 7-2, ESPN would going crazy right now.

Tennessee is pulling away in the AFC and the fact that they showed a passing game is very good for the future.

Big win by the Colts.

Jets vs. New England is huge next week and don't count out Miami for winning that division. Seriously.

This Thursday night game is huge in so many ways. The Jets have to get by the Patriots. They have to put the Patriots behind them even if its only for a year. The Patriots have won 13 of the last 15 meetings between these two teams I believe. The Jets with Mangini and Favre have to win this game. This is the Jets chance. There are so many storylines going into this game.

Bellicheck dispises the Jets. He hates that Franchise. He wrote his resignation letter as head coach on a napkin. He hates this franchise top to bottom.

Him and Mangini despise each other. If you think thats inaccurate your wrong. They cant stand each other. Bellicheck told Mangini not to take the Jets job and he did. There is absolute hatred between those two.

Favre is here to win this game. There is no way to suger coat this. I cant defend Brett Favre going into this game. He's got to come up big here. Bottom line is that this is the game that Brett Favre was brought here to win. Brady will be back next year. The Jets have to make there move now. If they can beat the Pats you can begin to dream as a Jets fan.

They got the personal now. They shut down the run and they get to the QB. Take out the Dolphin-Pat footage Mangini. Watch how they attacked Cassell. He's not that good. His job is to go out there and make little to no mistakes. He doesnt throw TD passes. Get after him.

I really think that the winner of this game is going to win this division. I agree with Porky though. You cant count the Fish out. There 5-4 and there schedule is not that tough. I dont see them winning the division though because just like the Jets cant beat the Pats the Dolphins cant beat the Jets and if they have to come into the Meadowlands with the division on the line thats going to be a tough game for them to win. So seeing as I dont see there being anyway the Dolphins could have the division locked up before the final week of the season and the fact that i'm a Jets fan I dont see them winning it lol.

Now Barnett is out for the year. Packers are falling on tough times

That was pathetic by the Packers this past week, and Clifton is done for sure, he was a great LT but his body is just done, I hate to say it but its time to move College out there, he is a way better Tackle than a guard anyways. I am not sure what it more pathetic the way the Packers played, the fact that they still should've still won the game (shows how pathetic the Vikings are to), or that stupid condom thing that AP was wearing on his head LOL.

Around the rest of the league...

The Colts are back, or at least Peyton is, there is no way they can win their dividion but if would hate to get matched -up against them in the play-offs if they stay healthy and continue this role.

Tennessee Can actually throw the ball, HOLY CRAP! i still don;t think they go undefeated though there schedule isn't all that tough, but i wouldn;t be shocked to see them lose to JAX this week, but defintely see them losing to Pitts or Indy or both the final two weeks b/c those two teams will be playing meaningful games and the Titans will have everything locked up most likely.

The Giants are the best team in football, i am convinced now Kev.

The Lions are going to go 0-16 i beleive the team is just pathetic.

should've won? The Vikings dominated them in all aspects of the game. If the Vikings didn't have the worst punt coverage team in football, and Gus Frerotte at QB, this game would have been a Packer embarrassment.

Speaking of Gus, he was so horrid I couldn't even watch when he dropped back to pass. Honestly on the INT TD, I actually called it before hand. I said to my dad "Oh look, Vikings have all the momentum, looking good, guess what it's time for...... a Gus pick". And what do you know, on cue Collins takes it to the house.

Even though Tarvaris Jackson has played like shit, I don't think Gus should be starting. Honestly I'm so pissed that this team is so ready to win now, but doesn't have at least a serviceable QB to give them a good chance. I'm sick of winning games IN SPITE of the QB.

yeah, Pack should have won that game.
Minn was the better team, no doubt. They owned them the entire time, but gave the Pack the light at the end of the tunnel to come back - and they couldn't take it.

I agree that the Giants are a for real repeat deal.

And now that it has been revealed that the Titans can move the ball however they need to, I don't see them being stopped

I hate to admit it, but the Giants are legit. We said lets see what happens when they play some tough teams, and now they beat the Steelers-Cowboys-Eagles. 2 of those games were on the road. Yeah the Cowboys were without Romo, but a W is a W. Brandon Jacobs is a monster. I still do not belive in Eli Manning though. He is overrated.

As long as Eli doesn't have to win game after game by himself, then the Giants are legit. They play a very physical brand of football much like the other top teams in the NFL this season. I honestly still don't have them as my Super Bowl pick, but I've also switched from Washington in regards to the NFC. I'm on Porky's Carolina bandwagon right now.

After Delhomme only connected 7 passes and threw 4 INTs against the Raiders!

I don't know, Carolina hasn't had the toughest schedule so far, nothing easy, but not too hard. And they've been able to squeak by a number of times. Frankly this team could have a 2007 Detroit Lions meltdown in the second half of the season and it wouldn't surprise me.
