Week 3 Thoughts
At halftime of most games:
* Miami 21, New England 6? Are you serious? I guess Ronnie Browns knee is feeling ok
* I'm trying to decide if Atlanta is for real or not. They really havent faced a tough challenge. Matt Ryan looks like the real deal though, and Michael Turner does as well.
* Cincinnati is finally playing with a sense of desperation, although Housh and Ocho have been shut down pretty well so far. Giants D is fierce. They are getting pressure and sacking the QB every single week.
* Tennessee's runningback tandem looks like it might be one of the leagues best in the future

Ronnie Brown, Ronnie Brown, Ronnie Brown. 5 total TDs; Pretty good day I'd say.
How about the Bengals/Giants game? Amani Toomer made a great catch along the sidelines to set up that final field goal.
The Bengals actually looked like they wanted that game. Palmer looked like his old-self.

* Bengals passing game is coming around. There's no way it was going to stay bad.
* In my money fantasy league, there was a hot debate about Matt Cassel this week. A trade was attempted between two guys, swapping Cassel and Rodgers. I voted it down and at least two other guys agreed, vetoing the trade in an 8-man league. The guy with Cassel through the biggest fit I've ever seen over that trade being voted down. It was sad and childish. My point was Rodgers has shown a live are and is going to produce. Cassel is being protected. That was shown today. He's not a playmaker at QB. I couldn't believe the projections for him this week. ESPN had him with 30 points. It was ridiculous. I'm sorry if any of you bought into it.
* I love Buffalo. They are the team to beat in the East. That defense makes the plays needed, Lynch is one of the leagues most dependable backs and Edwards is getting the ball to Evans and Parrish, who are both playmakers are receiver. The Bills are a playoff team.
* I've been preaching Tennessee as a legitimate Super Bowl contender on here, in my sports section of the newspaper and on the radio. The Titans are proving me right.
* Anyone else realize Brian Griese threw the ball 67 times? Good God! Does he play for Texas Tech?! How about the Antonio Bryant sighting? I always thought Bryant had the talent to be one of the game's top receivers. He's just too much of a head case and an off-the-field casualty.
* I've mentioned how much better Tennessee is without Vince Young. The same could hold true about Tarvaris Jackson and the Vikings. I'm not as sold on that, but time will tell.

* Has Santana Moss ever had a 3 game stretch this good? He has always had 1 big game and then disappeared. I cant remember him putting together a streak of good games
* Matt Forte looks lie a very good player. teams know he is all the Bears have, and he still is having good games. He is averaging 100 yards rushing a game, and has shown he is a good receiver out of the backfield, as evidenced by his 7 catches for 66 yards and a score through the air today

* When did Rudi Johnson suddenly become Detroits feature back?

Today when Kevin Smith got injured.
* You made a comment about the Falcons at the start of this thread. The Falcons are better than most speculated. They'll be able to run the ball against most defenses and as long as Ryan has that, he'll be fine.
* On afternoon's second tier of games, huge win for Jax. That really helps their season a lot. Something had to give in this game. Indy has one of the worst run defenses. Jax has one of the worst OLs in the league right now. MJD and Taylor both top 100 yards. Shows how bad the Colts' run D is.
* Very entertaining game in Denver. Cutler was good and Marshall is establishing himself even further. Hopefully, he won't get suspended more time.
* Detroit is bad. News flash huh? So are the Rams. Shocking development there right? Those two should fight it out for the No. 1 pick next season.
* Is it time to give Brady Quinn the ball in Cleveland? Not yet, but maybe in two or three more weeks if Anderson doesn't improve.

2nd round of games
* Back to back 30+ point efforts from San Francisco? Who would have thought. Frank Gore is running very well
* I guess the Rams really are that bad. Average score for a Rams game so far: 35-9. Ouch
* Denver is entertaining to watch. Cutler to Marshall might already be in the leagues top 3 QB-WR combos. Marshalls averages through 2 games: 12 catches 160 yards 1 TD. Wow
* I'm so confused by Philly, Pittsburgh, and Dallas. Philadelphia's D looked fantastic today after looking awful last week. Are the Cowboys that good on offense? Are the Eagles as good as they showed today on D? Is Pittsburghs O bad? My head hurts
* Great win for Jacksonville. I dont think it's time to panic in Indianapolis, but man thats a tough loss to a division foe
* Baltimore's defense looks good. 10 points to Cincinnati with all their weapons, and 10 points to the Browns with all their weapons. Plus Ed Reed running back an INT

Dallas is just that good offensively. Philly's defense will prove to be one of the best in the league. Dallas just has too many weapons. The league's best defenses will struggle to hold Dallas under 24 points let alone 30.
Pittsburgh has some OL issues. It was thought that would be their weakness heading into this season. Remember how many of us and other draftniks had the Steelers taking an OL in the first round?
