Default Steve Smith to the Cowboys (rumor)

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/p...?urn=nfl,98537

As a Redskins fan, I'd hate to see this happen. However, that would be a hell of a tandem!

That would be sick with the ground game they have you could pretty much draft that whole team and do well.

Not going to happen. Why would the Panthers suspend Steve Smith, if they knew they were just going to eventually trade him anyway?

They're not going to get rid of their best player over a fight in training camp

Not even worth discussing

Strange that Yahoo would even give this rumor legs. It was mentioned on Matt Mosley's blog as total speculation. Mosley used to work for the Dallas Morning News and is a big Cowboys fan. He was just throwing stuff out there for his blog. The DMN's new blogger saw this and posted it on the newspaper's Cowboys' blog. There is no truth to this whatsoever.

A true trade rumor once mentioned with the Cowboys wanting a WR was them trading their first round pick for Anquan Boldin.

I don't think Dallas will make a big move for a receiver. They resigned Patrick Crayton for a reason.

Nah. Jerry Jones has made it clear since Terry Glenn returning didn't work out that he wants another veteran WR on the team. There's been a ton of rumors out there, but very few legit follows. I think the Boldin move is the only legit trade rumor that's been said, but that's pretty dead from what I understand.

I don't think they Cowboys will end up making a move for a WR, but I do think they'd like to. They won't go after just anyone, though.
