Jason Taylor to Redskins
(This is just a rumor, therefore not really worth reporting. However, I figured this is the down time for the site so we need something to discuss. And there are lots of Packers fans on this site)
Apparently the Green Bay Packers are very interested in acquiring Jason Taylor from the Dolphins, and have repeatedly called Miami asking about his availability. The Dolphins would reportedly ask for a 2nd round pick in return
I think It's a good deal for both sides. Taylor is just going to cause a distraction and disrupt the chemistry of a young team. Every story involving the Dolphins this year will be about him. Also, he said this is his last year, so why not pick up a 2nd round pick for him instead of just losing him to retirement?
From the Packers end, I think Kampman and Taylor is a scary duo. KGB is coming off knee surgery, but he's a great backup/rotational guy. It would really help out the pass rush and allow Al Harris and Charles Woodson to play the bump and run coverage they love to play
***EDIT*** Taylor has since been traded to the Redskins, so instead of making a whole new thread I just fixed this one

It would make GB a dangerous team defensively and would definitely help out Aaron Rodgers.

Well how about the Redskins instead?
As a Cowboys fan, I'm not going to lie. I don't like the sound of a Taylor/Andre Carter tandem coming off the corners. It certainly plugs a hole for Washington. Phillip Daniels getting hurt might have been the best thing that happened for the Skins' defense this season, considering Daniels has 5.5 total sacks in the past two seasons combined. Carter was a disappointment two seasons ago, but was impressive last year.
I still think Washington has the most to overcome in the NFC East, though. I'm not a big Zorn fan. I think Snyder made the wrong choice with that hire and Jason Campbell, although I've liked what I've seen from him at times, still has a lot of progress he needs to make.

Fixed the thread lol
Washington is known for making big moves and acquiring big names, but this is one of the only ones I actually like. Price tag was good (2nd Round in 09 + 6th Round in 2010) and it fills their biggest need. The Redskins have some pieces in place, and I'm gonna go on record here and say that they finish 2nd in the NFC East and get a Wild Card spot

Looks like I'll be adding a 3rd Taylor jersey to my collection. Honestly though, this was a pretty big move and more importantly, a smart move at the right price. It seems we have a lot of pieces in place. Let's hope they fit together.

Nice add for the Skins. Should really help them in the tough NFC East.
