Shaun Alexander Released
The Seattle Seahawks have released Shaun Alexander. From the NFL Discussion side of this, it's shocking to see such a fall from grace for a guy who was the NFL MVP and broke the TD record just 2 years ago. He mentioned in an interview that some Super Bowl hopeful team like New England or Indianapolis might sign him for backfield depth. i agree with this. If a team is looking for a #1 guy, look elsewhere. But if someone wanted to bring him in as part of a tandem or for depth purposes I think it would be smart
From the draft end of things, does Seattle take a Rb at some point in the first 3 rounds? Are Julius Jones, Maurice Morris and TJ Duckett enough to hold down the fort in Seattle? Maybe they make a splash by choosing (somewhat) local boy Jonathan Stewart?
