Vilma to be traded?
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/fo..._fly_away.html
Looks like Vilma wants to be traded because he hasn't fit in Mangini's system. I don't understand, how you have a very talented player, and then just have him waste away on your team, in a system that obviously doesn't fit him. Saints and Jaguars are the top teams interested.
I hope the Jaguars get him. He would be a great addition to our already good LB's, and would just add even more depth. If the price is too high though, I'd rather pass.

It will be more interesting to see what the Jets can get for him.

Don't count out Denver. Denver has major holes in their linebacking corps, has a receiver, Javon Walker, who would compliment Coles and Cotchery well, depth at TE making Tony Scheffler expendable, Selvin Young, a cheap promising runningback, and a history of making great value trades.
Both teams have the cap space, and neither team has any can't miss free agents to resign.

I really don't see why the Jets would get rid of him. The guy's a real talent, so their asking price will be pretty steep. Denver does seem like a good fit for Vilma though.

Vilma is one of the top linebackers in the game and for the jets to run a defense that does not compliment them is stupid. If i were the jets instead of trying to get rid of him they should try building the team around him

He doesn't fit Mangini's defense. His production has gone down considerably, even though he was injured last year. He needs to be in a 3-4 defense.

looks like the Lions are the front runners as of right now...I saw a 3-team trade possibility of Vilma, Foxworth and a 2nd to the Lions, Robertson to the Broncos and Rogers and a 4th to the Jets.
