Minnesota's defense is shaping up to be fantastic -- heaven help the league if they sign Darius at SS...Keep in mind that the offense avg 25 ppg without Moss last year --Feedback.....what does everyone think on Minnesota's chances...

if they get donovan darius and some how end up with derrick johnson or shawn merriam... that D is gonna be 3 times better and there offense will be fine if they get kleinsasser back then they can run the ball 2 times better... the vikings will be teh best team i think... its just all up to tice

Vikings wont even make the playoffs this year.

defense needs too much help and rookies will not help so soon.

there offense still has probs like there rb michael bennet cant stay unhurt.

and the front office is having too many probs.

Vikings signed Darren Sharper, so that solves the safety situation. However, I am still not a fan of this team. Yes that defense has improved, but Chavous and Sharper do not exactly have a lot of speed at safety (remember we're not talking about Darren Sharper of 5 years ago). Smoot is also inconsistent.

The bigger issue to me is the offense. Not having Randy Moss for the entire year is going to hurt more than people realize, and believing Plaxico Burress or some draft pick could fill the void is wishful thinking at best. Remember, Moss made quarterbacks like Randall Cunningham and Jeff George look fantastic. The running situation is also dicey. I think the Vikings are still a wild card team, but not a super bowl team.

Vikings suck ass every year, and they will suck ass even more without Randy Moss.

I don't think it is going to be a walk in the park like a lot of people think. I also don't think they are going to struggle without Randy either. I think they will win the North by a game or a tie breaker over the lions. Sharper is still more than adequate at SS. And Culpepper is sick. Udeze will mature and be a threat in the pass rush and Pat Williams should help like Dan Wilkenson did in Detroit but I don't think they can stop the run consistantly and that will give them problems. And IF Charles Rogers is actually healthy next year and Harrington or Garcia run that offense to its potential we'll have one heck of a showdown in the North next year. Sharper won't be able to help on the run he will be too busy chasing our recievers around. And the Draft is coming up if Detroit can put together another draft like last year You can have Darius it won't matter. Then again they have 2 first rounders too. To many if's i'll take the wild card this year.

Randall was fantastic without Moss, don't think it was because of Moss, people know the name Randall Cunningham because of the amazing plays he made on the field even before he got to Minnesota.
