I'm sticking with my thought that they will draft Joe Thomas.
Can still get someone like Kenny Irons or Michael Bush in later rounds... I think they go offense in the first 3... by some luck, maybe Stanton falls to them in the third... and they go
1.Joe Thomas
2.Kenny Irons
3.Drew Stanton

I'm just not crazy about Adrian Peterson being a top 5 pick especially going #2 over Joe Thomas or Brady Quinn.

I think by the time the draft rolls arund AD wil be considered in the top 5... to me , people are forgetting how great of a player he was all these years before he was injured. And for injuries they are unpredictable so I dont think it is a major concern.

sorry i should have worded it a little different... each year he was njuried and after all that time he did miss I think people forgot how great and special of a player he is. I think between now and the Draft he is gunna rise up draft boards and be a top 5 pick for sure.

I watched Peterson play in high school at Palestine, TX. I thought he was NFL ready going into his freshman year at OU. I don't think people have forgotten how great he can be. Kiper ranks him 3rd on his big board. I think that durability is a definite caution. He's fought through injuries for the past two seasons. Now I do like how he's come back from those injuries, but there still has to be legitimate concern for any NFL team thinking about drafting him. Also consider that the Lions need a player to replace another RB who already has had a lot of injury concerns. Do you really take a player who has durability issues to possibly replace another player with durability issues?
