VY in the Pro Bowl
Vince Young is in the Pro Bowl after Philip Rivers re-injured his ankle. He was only the 3rd alternate, but the first two, McNair and Brady, turned down their invitations.

LOL yes, now we can hear more VY hype.....LOL, Is this really an accomplishment?..and I am not attacking bbbtalb0 by saying that, i kno he is just reporting news, I am asking the forum if you think this is an acomplishment?.....He was the 3rd alternate which means he was the 6th best QB in the AFC this year, and is only going b/c 3 other guys didn;t want to go. But i think its actually good for the Pro-Bowl itself with VY there now someone may actually watch it LOL

Wow I didnt know you could make the Pro Bowl when every single one of your stats (besides Wins) is in the bottom third of the league

Well i am thinking abojut it and heres the breakdown of how VY got in the Pro Bowl
Peyton Manning - In
Carson Palmer - In
Phillip Rivers - Backed Out
Tom Brady - Declined
Steve McNair - Declined
VINCE YOUNG - In
Now here was the AFC's other choices...
Chad Pennington - Could make argument for him to be in
David Carr - And monkeys might fly out of my butt
JP Lousman - Please
Big Ben - Ya Right
The rest of the QB's in the AFC either were injured (Charlie Frye/Trent Green/Culpepper/Leftwich) - none oif them woulda got in the PB anyways), were benched at some point this season or were and injury fill-in (Harrington, Garrard, Huard) or they played for the Oakland Raiders (Brooks and Walter)
So I guess for Pennington (who i think should be in) VY got in the PB by default

First of many for Young, although I do think Pennington should be in over him.

I wouldn't consider this an accomplishment. It's like saying nobody wants the mvp trophy so here you go. Winning the BCS Championship was an accomoplishment this wasn't. Once he actually gets votes to be in, then you may call it an accomplishment.

I also think Pennington should get it. The Jets were supposed to be just as bad as the Titans this season, but Pennington led them to 2 more wins and a Playoff spot

Not really an accomplishment. I also think Pennington would have been a better choice. Either way, I don't want to take anything away from the season he had, but was it an All-Star season? Not so much.
I'm still not going to watch it though.
