Default Pre-Draft trades start!

I just heard on from a source that NFL radio is reporting that the Broncos traded their #22 pick for SF's #37 and #68 picks. I'm not sure why. Shouldn't their be more included in the deal? Has anyone heard anything else on this yet? :?:

Don't know why, either, but its true. Here's the espn link:

Seems kind of stupid for the Broncos for me, but hey, it's whatever they want to do. Good trade for the 49ers.

They must see a lot of 2-4 round talent & figure the #22 is nothing special. The Niners get two 1st rounders now. They're on their way...(years to go however). Broncos confuse me with their drafts...always have, this doesn't surprise me.

Do you think that San Fran is trying to get enough fire power to trade up to the #1 spot to draft Bush??

I think San Fran is targeting DeAngelo Williams with the #22 pick..

Porky's theory makes more sense to me. Williams is a solid running back, and the only team I'd be worried about picking him up beforehand would be Minnesota (and I don't think that's too likely). Plus, with their #6 pick, they can address their receiving core with either a quality wide-out or tight end.

For Denver, however, this move makes no sense to me.

In round 2 Denver can get a solid DE like Tamba Hali or Mathia Kiwanuka. So pretty much they get their guy in round 2 instead of reaching in round 1 and pickup and extra pick in the process.. In my opinion this helps the 49ers more.. They need surrounding weapons for Alex Smith and Davis and Williams is a very young offense but an offense that in a few years could be dangerous..

I think the Denver Broncos are going to target a running back or wide receiver in the first round, then use a second round on a DE and a RB/WR, depending on what they didnt get in the first round. The depth is about the same for both positions except RB has more first rounders. The depth is better in the second round than the first for WRs so thats what I think they go after in the second.

I disagree with there being better 2nd round WR's than 1st in detph.. I see 3 1st round WR's. I don't see any 2nd round graded WR's.. Maybe Greg Jennings or Martin Nance..
