Default Realistic Mock Draft, no crazy curveballs.

Team - Player | Description
1.
San Francisco 49ers - Aaron Rogers, QB California | This is a no-brainer. The 49ers are in shambles and they have nobody to fill the most important position in football. This guy is a California boy who idolized Montana. This pick is going to be mutual. Rodgers isnt the best player in the draft but hes the best player for the 49ers.
2. Miami Dolphins - Cedric Benson, RB Texas | The Fins seem to be comfortable with Feeley. So, thier next biggest hole is at running back. Benson is the best runner in the draft and he\'ll fit in well in Miami. But if the Dolphins get a back in free agency, look for them to trade down a few picks and get Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards.
3. Cleveland Browns - Alex Smith, QB Utah | Cleveland released Garcia. Holcomb cant play a full season, but who can blame him. I wouldnt want to play behind that line either. Expect cleveland to fix thier line in free agency and get Smith to play behind Holcomb and eventually start by midseason.
4. Chicago Bears - Braylon Edwards, WR Michigan | The Bears have nobody to play reciever. I mean nobody! Grossman needs a target badly. Thomas Jones cant account for a third of thier offense again. And he wont with a healthy Grossman throwing to Edwards.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Ronnie Brown, RB Auburn | The Bucs need a step up from Pittman and Brown is just that. He has the pass catching ability Gruden loves and the potential to carry the Bucs whenever Brad Johnson leaves and Chris Simms takes over. We\'ve seen the best of Pittman and its not all great. But we havent seen the best of Brown.
6. Tennessee Titans - Antrel Rolle, CB Miami (FL) | With Dyson\'s future in question, the Titans make the safe pick and go with Rolle. Its possible that they could trade down for an offensive lineman but the temtation to solidify their defence will be to great.
7. Oakland Raiders - Mike Williams, WR USC | Porter wont be back and I got a feeling Justin Fargas will break out of his shell this season. So, they go with Williams and give Kerry Collins a target to throw that beautiful deep ball to. They\'re going to have a couple big recievers in Williams and Curry.
8. Arizona Cardinals - Carnell Williams, RB Auburn | Denny Green loves offense and hes going to love Carnell Williams. Green will probably stick with McCown for another season and with the addition of Williams, he wont have anymore excuses.
9. Washington Redskins - Erasmus James, DE Wisconsin | The Skins had a great defense last year without anybody to rush the passer besides Arrington. Arrington will probably play more coverage this year and Erasmus James will pick up the pass rush duties.
10. Detroit Lions - Thomas Davis, S Georgia | The Lions have the makings of an exciting offense, so this year they turn to defence. Davis will solidify the secondary and do what Roy Williams did for the Cowboys.
11. Dallas Cowboys - Pac-Man Jones, CB West Virginia | The Cowboys will go the cheaper route and get a corner in the draft and a safety in free agency instead of the other way around. The Cowboys play a lot of man coverage and Jones has the speed to do that. Hes also a presence in the run game which is essential for the Boys.
12. San Diego Chargers (From NYG) - Derrick Johnson, LB Texas | I didnt think Johnson would last this long but the need for offensive players in this draft is just too great. Johnson will give the Charges a big play making linbacker to play besides Donnie Edwards.
13. Houston Texans - Jammal Brown, OT Oklahoma | They could surprise people and take Marcus Spears but they need to keep Carr off his back. Jammal Brown can be a dominating left tackle if coached right. He\'ll be a cornerstone for that O-Line for years to come.
14. Atlanta Falcons (from Carolina) - Marcus Spears, DE LSU | Spears is a great fit for the Falcons. He has good athletic ability and great size to play inside in thier nickel packages. Atlanta trades up and makes thier good defence a great one.
15. Kansas City Chiefs - Anttaj Hawthorne, DT Wisconsin | The Chiefs need help all over thier defence. But they need to start up front. Hawthorne will be the first tackle taken. And if Ryan Simms steps up, they could have a pretty good front 4.
16. New Orleans Saints - Carlos Rogers, CB Auburn | The Saints secondary is horrible. Rogers has the tools to be a great one and he\'ll start from day 1 for the Saints.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Shaun Cody, DT USC | The Bengals need some serious help up front and they can start with Cody. He lacks size, but is strong and can get to the quarterback. He\'ll take some pressure off Justin Smith which will also help the secondary.
18. Minnesota Vikings - Mark Clayton, WR Oklahoma | Moss probably wont be back and the Vikings will be in need of a playmaking reciever. Clayton is just that. He put up huge numbers for Oklahoma and he will for Minnesota. Clayton and Kelly Campbell will become a solid duo for Culpepper to throw to.
19. St. Louis Rams - David Pollack, DE Georgia | I dont think anybody is better suited to play opposite Leonard Little. He\'s a great guy and a great player. Stronger than his size indicates but still a little iffy versus the run, but hes to good to pass up. This guy could be leader in that defence as a rookie.
20. Dallas Cowboys (from Buf) - Dan Cody, DE Oklahoma | Marcellus wiley wont stick around and Dan Cody will get twice as many sacks as he did, at least. He\'s the prototypical right DE. Just what the Boys need. They also need a defensive tackle but thay got plenty of money to spend in free agency. With thier 2 defensive additions I expect the Boys to be back in playoff form next year, if Drew Henson pulls through.
21.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Justin Miller, CB Clemson | If available, Miller could be the steal of the first round. Put in the right situation, he could prove to be the best corner in the draft. He\'s physical and aggressive in coverage. Maybe too aggressive but that will change with experience.
22. Baltimore Ravens - Chris Henry, WR West Virginia | Heres a guy who can add another dimension to the Ravens offense. Great size, great speed, great hands, bad attitude. But its nothing Ray Lewis cant fix. He may be immature, but he has heart.
23. Seattle Seahawks - Channing Crowder, LB Florida | Another character issue but this guy can flat out play. The Seahawks cant pass up a linebacker with the physical tools of this guy. Not with the problems they had on defense last year.
24. Green Bay Packers - Charlie Frye, QB Akron | After Favre, the packers have nowhere to go. They need to start grooming thier next guy now. And Charlie Frye is thier best option. He had a lot of success on a horrible team. Give this guy a couple seasons to develop and he\'ll pay dividends.
25. Denver Broncos - Brodney Pool, S Oklahoma | The Broncos need an aggressive safety like Pool to team up with Lynch. These two safeties will form a very uncomfortable place for opposing recievers.
26. New York Jets - Ernest Shazor, S Michigan | This may seem like a reach to some but this guys got it. The Jets need a playmaking safety. They got a good front seven so stopping the run isnt the problem. Shazor has the hands to make big plays in the Jets cover 2 scheme.
27. Carolina Panthers (from Atlanta) - Alex Barron, OT Florida State | Adam Meadows didnt quite work out last year. They make up for that mistake this year by drafting Alex Barron. Now with thier line intact they\'re headed to the playoffs.
28. San Diego Chargers - Elton Brown, OG Virginia | Toniu Fonoti and Elton Brown could someday be the best guard duo in the NFL.
29. Indianapolis Colts - Marlin Jackson, CB Michigan | Jackson is a steal this late in the draft. I cant remember the last time they spent a first round pick on a corner.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Troy Williamson, WR South Carolina | Burress wont be back and I wouldnt want to take Randel El out of the slot. This guy has the speed, the hands, and the size to step in and contribute right away.
31. Philadelphia Eagles - Heath Miller, TE Virginia | What dont the Eagles have? A complete tight end. They do now with the addition of Heath Miller. He\'s not like Shockey or Winslow but theres no reason he cant catch over 50 passes.
32. New England Patriots - Corey Webster, CB LSU | The Patriots only weakness last year was at corner. That became evident when Troy Brown was in the secondary. If the Patriots season taught us anything, its that you cant have enough good corners

Hawthorne, Henry, and Corey Webster are a bit too high.

Dallas doesn't need a CB.

Detroit won't go with Thomas Davis this high. Despite what they might need, if Derrick Jonhson or Pac-man are available, they'll snatch one of these guys up in a heartbeat!!

Detroit could draft Davis, but only if they trade down. Davis should be gone by number 16, the Saints.

Panthers will not trade with a division foe and Barron will not fall that far.
