According to this from ESPN.com, it sounds like he should be fine.

Chicago Bears defensive lineman Israel Idonije underwent arthroscopic knee surgery - ESPN Chicago

I know that the title of the article is aboout Israel Idonije, but it talks about Hester and his condition in it, too.
