Parlay the leverage we have!!! Please read
Ok, so what do you fans think of the following?
1)Give up our #'s 17(1st rd, 48,and 51(2nd rounders) and a 1st rounder in 2007 for the # 2 pick. The 2007 1st rounder hurts but we all know how trades work. Steep price to pay. But read on we get it back and some.....
2) Then get Tenn and or Oakland involved throwing out we will take Leinart (Tenn), Young (Oak), or whoever..most likely Tenn and Leinart because of Chow. Flip flop #2 and #3 with Tenn(they get Leinart) but with our Vikes receiving #3, #39 in the 2nd rd, and a 1st rounder in 2007. Maybe more, maybe less ,but I doubt it.
3) Now trade with Oakland at #6. With Leinart being gone because we told Tenn they could have them, we now do the same thing with Raider Nation and bluff Al in that we are going to take Vince Young. What do we get?? The# 6 pick plus #38 in the 2nd round, plus you guessed it, a 1st rounder in 2007. Maybe more??
Bottom line- We move from #17 to #6 and still get our #1 guy in say Cutler, or anyone really, plus we now have two 2nd rounders but instead of #'s 48 and #51 we have back-to-backs in #'s 38 and #39. Not to mention 2 1st rounders for 2007 after our original 1st rounder that we'd have to give to New Orleans. Even if we dealt for 1 1st rounder and 1 2nd rounder or 2 2nd rounders, it's a steal don't you think???
