Default Who will we go for?

Ok, so i stole this topic from the Dallas section, but I am interested in who do u think we will go for?

My wishlist:

Will Witherspoon
Jon Runyan
Ben Leber
Chris Baker 2nd TE
And a wideout like Gaffney, Bryant, Givens, or Bruce
Then some veteran DB for a year or two (Law, Warfield, Madison, Townsend)

And resign Koren Robinson

Will Witherspoon
Drew Brees
Edgerrin James
John Abraham?
Issac Bruce?

The CB's are already good. 3 Pro Bowl Caliber CB's are already in place in Smoot, Winfield, and Williams.

Robinson resigning is a possibility.

Witherspoon would fit great in the type of Defense Minnesota is going to start running, which is the Tampa Cover 2, which requires fast linebackers, quick ends, and strong tackles, and of course, reliable secondary, which in the 2nd year minnesota will improve again upon.

I really think they let Chavous go and move Williams to safety. If they dont do that, then I would like to us a safety instead of a CB.

Vikings won't bring in a big FA reciever unless Koren Robinson leaves.

Your vetern DB's all play corner, the Vikes have Williams, Smoot and Winfeild. If they bring in any DB it will be a strong safety.

They have Jimmy K and Wiggins at TE. Baker doesn't add anything that they don't already have.

I'm hoping for a guard that can block, but the origionally short list to choose from keeps getting shorter. Hutchenson was franchise tagged. Also some speed at linebacker. Peterson, Arrington or Witherspoon would do just fine.

Hutchinson wasnt franchise tagged, he was an RFA, which means other teams can still negotiate, and if seattle doesnt match an offer made by that team, he goes to the team that took it.

Witherspoon is a beast.

Also, Sharper plays Safety.

Ooops, I ment transition tagged. That means they can match any offer given to him.

Sharper plays free safety. Chavous is gonzo. Offord was resigned leaving him at the starter at strong safety. Most people don't even know who Willie Offord is. He just blew out his knee and he lost his starting job to Brian Russell of all people.

Strong safety is the weakest link in the secondary at the moment. If they add a big name to the secondary it would be there.

My wish list would be

Drew Brees
Jamal Lewis
Will Witherspoon
Steve Hutchinston (was transition tagged)
resign Koren Robinson.

Brain Williams was untagged today so he'll be a free agent.

As for a SS I'm not sure but maybe Chris Hope could play it. I'm not entirely sure on that though. I know he played FS in Pittsburgh but doesn't Cowher like guys who can play both?

I think Hope would be a good fit, otherwise I wouldnt be too surprised to see Dexter Jackson come in and compete. Although i would much rather have Hope.

I dont see us getting James so I am hoping for either Williams or Maroney in the first round and then Croyle in the second

I dont think guard will be that big of a deal if we resign Fonuti. Between Johnson, Fonuti, Lewinski, Fowler and Winthrow, I think that two of them will be able to play at a high level.

In Childress new system, I expect Kleinsasser to play FB more. And Baker is way down on my wishlist, I just think he is an up and coming player that I wouldnt mind on my roster.

Reportedly we are interested in Maurice Morris and Ben Leber. I think Leber will be a good fit but I would hope with all that money and Wilf's reportedly willingness to spend, we would get some players better than that. What do u guys think?

Will Witherspoon is the main person i want on defense.

I want James because he is a winner, he plays 100% almost all the time.
