Draft thoughts
Everyone is talking about a CB in the first but I don't like it. Ideally we'd get Laurence Maroney at 21. He could play alongside Dillon for 1 year and then hopefully take over.
A young talented RB is the top priority to me. After that WR, LB, CB, S, and OL are all close. Thsi team has more holes to fill than in recent years.
Who's the #2 WR?
Who's the #2 CB?
Who's the #2 S?
Where's the depth on the OL?
Where's the youth at RB and LB?
Where's Vinatieri gonna be?
If it weren't for Brady, Belichick, Seymour, Branch, Vrabel, Bruschi, Colvin, Wilson, Wilfork, Watson, Light, Koppen and co. I'd be nervous.

I think that New England could get a quality RB in the second round, but a corner would be harder to find.

New England currently has 10 picks in this year's draft, including six in the first four rounds.
WR - with the lack of strength in this year's draft they could easily find a #3 wideout in the second or third round or FA, which is probably what they would do. NE isn't a breeding ground for great WR's to thrive.
CB - this would be my current #1 pick, because they have to stop the pass, plus I don't see one of the top RB's fall to them.
RB- this would be my #1 pick....if and only if Maroney falls to them or they can trade up for him a few spots and not give up a whole lot in the trade.
S- they should be able to find a quality #2 safety in the second or third round of this draft or FA.
K- Wait for one of their 4th or 5th round picks and take Huston from OSU.
OL - Could get young depth in round 3 or 4 --> Whitworth at tackle, and/or Boothe (my sleeper) or Setterstrom at OG.
LB- They definitely need to get younger and I could see them take one in the second round.

They have 9 picks, but good points otherwise. Their assigned 5th round pick was sent to CLE lat year for WR Andre Davis.
Round 1 -- 21st, assigned selection
Round 2 -- 20th, assigned selection
Round 3 -- 11th, from Baltimore*
Round 3 -- 22nd, assigned selection
Round 4 -- 9th, from Detroit**
Round 4 -- 21st, assigned selection
Round 5 -- 6/7th, from Oakland***
Round 6 -- 22nd, assigned selection
Round 7 -- 21st, assigned selection
I mentioned #2 WR because Givens, Davis, and Dwight are FA's. Other than Branch that leaves Troy Brown, Bethel Johnson, etc. With the weak WR FA class, I think they need a WR with one of the first 3 picks.
