Joe Toledo would be an interesting pick in the 4th round for Denver at OT. He's a former TE that was moved to OT his junior season at Washington. He's got great athleticism. He's 6'5" 321 lbs. He's a project because he doesn't have a ton of experience at the position, but I think his upside could be huge. Denver could afford to take time to teach him and there is no one better at teaching OL than the Denver coaches.

Here's a thought I like for a 5th or 6th round RB...P.J. Daniels out of Georgia Tech.

I think they need to land a WR. Chad Jackson might be too good to pass up in late round 1. Bing would probably start instantly for them.

He is a great athlete, but hes not 321 lbs. He is 6'6" and weighs 290

"I think they need to land a WR. Chad Jackson might be too good to pass up in late round 1. Bing would probably start instantly for them."

I agree......

I'd rather have Chad Jakson than Santonio Holmes...i guess its their playing style and how'll they fit into the denver offense...

plus, i would want somone to come in for Rod Smith who would most likely resemble Smith.....Jackson is the bigger and taller WR than Holmes

Denver doesnt need a deep threat as they already have Lelie, who can make great plays if he is just given the opportunity...

1a-from Washington)-S-could be Darnell Bing...could be Simpson...might be too high for Simpson, and I'm pulling for Denver to draft Bing anyway.......

1b)-WR-Chad Jackson...-DE-Mathius Kiwanuka......Jackson will definately be available at this spot but Kiwanuka could be too, since his stock has drapped as of late...prolly will go with Chad Jackson since a WR is a definate need

2)-DE-DT-OL-...I can see Denver taking Mangold, but he most likely wont be here...depth at DE isnt great but is a need for Denver since Coleman retired and Brown might not be brought back...Pryce is due alot of money too...most likely a DT since besides Warren they have no other run stuffer.....Denver will take Claude Wroten or Roderique Wright

3)-OT-number of good OT in the draft, though most will not fall to late in the third round

4a-from Washington)-DE-....depending on what position is taken in the second round will determine this one.....if the Broncos go with DT in round 2 than they'll take a DE here and visa versa

4b)-CB-Denver cut Lenny Walls and will be looking for a dime CB to compete against with Karl Paymah for the dime position

5)-RB-although Ron Dayne is currently being re-signed, he is not a great third option for the Broncos, especially since they use RB by committee...prolly take a RB with speed since Dayne has the backup power RB look

6)-DE-the team used a roataion the whole year....so drafting two DE's in this draft is most likely

7)-traded with P Jason Baker to the Carolina Panthers for P Todd Saurbrun

*Dont be surprised if Dener recieved a compensation pick handed out by the league somewhere in the third round...the Broncos lost two major starters at Reggie Hayward, who led the team in sacks and Kenoy Kennedy who was a moster tackler over the middle.....my prediction for compensation for the Broncos is:

3rd rounder
4th rounder
7th rounder

its been some time since the last post and the needs for the broncos definately show...........

1a)22......Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota

1b)29......Mathius Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College

2)...........Mercedes Lewis, TE, UCLA

3)...........S.....may inlcude: Bernard Pollard, Nate Salley, Greg Blue

......or WR in the third.....Derek Hagen-ASU, Martin Nance-Miami (OH), Hank Baskett-New Mexico, Demetrious Williams-Oregon, James Avant-Michigan

4a)........S or WR.....which ever psotion wasnt selected in the third round

4b)........DT

5)..........DE

6)..........CB

7)..........traded with P Jason Baker for P Todd Saurbrun

of course....Denver should receive at least a third and forth in compensation picks......the Broncos lost Reggie Hayward, the teams sack leader-so thus the reason for the extra 3rd......and lost kelly herdon.....thus reason for a 4th.......prolly a 7th also........

i've had a change of heart about taking a RB in the first round.......i think Donte Whitner at S is just as likely as Denver taking Hali.....

1a)-15th-Tambi Hali, DE

1b)-22nd-Santonio Holmes, WR

2)-61-Mercedes Lewis, TE

3)-Bernard Pollard,S

obviously, for now it is unknown what Denver gave to Atlanta, so we'll say its a forth

4a)-from washington-Kyle Williams, DT

4b)-traded to Atlanta Falcons.....

5)-De'Arrius Howard, RB

6)-Brad Butler, OT

7)-traded to the Panthers

Compensation:
3rd---------prolly from R. Hayward
4th---------from Kennedy and Herdon
7th
