Is Laurence Maroney a lock to be a Viking in 2006? I hope not, LenDale White and Chad Greenway look better...Comments?

I think White will be gone too. I wouldn't mind them picking him though. Worst case senario they finally get a goalline back that can pound it in. He could contribute his first year even if he is not the starter.

I'm not sure Maroney would fit in with the new offense. RB's in a west coast system need to have good hands. Typically they throw a lot to the TE and RB. The Gophers rarely run screens so his hands are a question mark. If all they want is a undersized speedy back that has questionable hands they can resign Micheal Bennent.

I would like to see Maroney in Minnesota. Of course I rather have White but his stock is so up and down it's hard to figure out where he's going. I've seen him at #5 and I've seen him at #30 to Indy.

As for Maroney in the west coast. I'm hearing he has better hands than what most would expect but the one thing Philly always lacked and I know I don't want Minnesota lacking it, is a guy who can carry the ball 20-25 times a game and pound the rock. We don't have that with Moore. I like Moore for a passing situation type of player and a 3rd down back and then I would like Maroney to carry the rock.

culpepper could be off to another city soon...his knee injury changes everything and i dont know if the vikings will hang on to him but im pretty sure that they will hand on to a player of culpeppers' caliber.

I think the vikes would be better served by making a big push for edge - they have the $ - and trying to draft for holes in their O-line and defensive backfield. There's a good chance of a valuable OT in the first, and safety, pending the combine, could be deep on day 1.
