Default Chicago Fan Here

Any Bears fans lurking out there?

You've never truly been cold until you've been at a bears game in Chicago in the winter

Bears Rock!

I proposed to my wife the night before going to see the Bears whooop up on the vikings in a sunday night thrilla 3 years ago! It was a blast because the fans were insane! I saw them throw beer at a guy because he had purple in his shirt (even though he was a bears fan).

Da-Bears!!

I haven't been a Bears fan lately because there team has seemed to be in disarray. I was loyal for years but they haven't had a quality year for a while. i would even consider '01 when they were the big sleeper of the league a quality year - just a fluke.

dude you have to stay true to a team. after a few bad years you can't just give up on them. thats the sign of a fairweather fan

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I guess he just jumps from one band wagon to another!

It was a fluke. I was at the playoff game in Chicago against philly. Froze my as* off to watch the Bears get tromped. Still a fan though, always have been and always will be 8)

I love fair weather fans because as soon as things start going well for a bad franchise, they all come running out of the cracks to express their loyalty. I know Tampa was horrible for what seemed like my whole life and almost everyone in this city had given up, but as soon as they went to the superbowl......they had a par season last year and still have a season ticket waiting list of 108,000. How is that for fair-weather fans! I think it is fun though, because lets be honest for a minute.....unless you are a bengal fan, can you really get excited about another loosing season! Loyalty to a horrible team does not need to be expressed out loud or you may get laughed out of every bar you walk into. It is better to just lay low and then erupt when things go good!

I think what in comes down to, at least in terms of ticket sales, is people like to watch a winner. No one likes watching their home town team get the crap kicked out of them week in and week out.

The true fans are around regardless. The fair weather fans just like to pop in when it's "the place to be".
