Default What to do with Shaun Cody

now now, I know what your all screaming but look at the facts we had last year one of the most productive interior line with rogers and wilkins we NEED a DE and Cody can be a productive weak side guy and swap inside but with Edwards showing promise what do we do?

me personally I would work him in the mix with the OLD vetern Wilkins and maybe start him around week 6 or later??

what do you all think?

Sorry people don't usually use this so I don't check it often. I think we should move Redding inside with our interior line rotation. Put Cody outside with Edwards. Cody is too small now to play DT that is why I say put him outside for now. It all depends on Wilkenson as well. If he is dominant then I think we have to keep Redding and Edwards outside and put Cody inside on passing downs. One thing about our D line is it is flexible.

Yes it is extremly flexible, but we got to face facts...Wilkins is old...real old and Cody could help extremly well if he's worked in inside i want to see how Edwards pans out this is a round 2 pick and our round 2 defense picks have all turned out extremly well witht he exception of Boss but that was just a injury but his rookie year we were hollering pro bowl and the same with Lehman... so im hoping Edwards can work about 8-10 sacks for us and get some run stopage...

Daniel,

You have a good football brain but you are wrong on this. What the lions need is a better strong safety.

THE LIONS WILL BE IN THE PLAYOFFS NEXT YEAR SO DON'T WORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kimbala has been hurt with a hernia. His rookie year was promising but after the injury he hasn't had much impact. I hope he pans out but I think the most you can hope out of him this year is at most 7. On the bright side Marriuchi has been impressed with Redding so far. I think your right about wilkenson and I think he is going to get cut.

i think cody will get higher on the depth chart wit marcus bell..and either one of these will replace wilkenson....shaun rogers and shaun cody at dt's???

I think we might see a few inside or outside changes wit a couple of our players...maybe wit pritchett or devries..
