Default Grade the Bengals draft

I give them a B-. I can't get on board with the C. Perry selection because he's from Michigan and they could have gotten S. Jackson if they didn't trade. I think Keiwan Ratliff was taken a little early. He's small and doesn't have high end speed. The rest of their picks were better, only time will tell. I still say in Marvin we trust!

Got to say I disagree with you. I think Perry will prove to be the best back in this draft of all three. Perry was up for the Heisman, and had an outside shot at 2000+ yards. His game against the Buckeyes proved he is the real deal to me, hurt and tired he kept pluggin away. Honestly, he reminds me of Eddie George. I knock them for failing to acquire good inside o-line help, and I'm withholding judgement on the cornerback situation.

I know, Perry could be the best back in this group, but it's hard to root for a Wolverine. I guess I better get over it. I did like the interview with Marvin right after they selected Perry and he said Perry was their top rated back, so it's nice to see that they don't really care what all the so called experts think. He picked Ray Lewis and was ridiculed for the pick, I guess the "experts" were wrong there.

I'm with you on the Michigan thing, normally I hate all Michigan players, but after this years OSU Mich game, Perry won me over. I only saw one mock draft with the Bengals taking Perry, but honestly when I did see that, got all warm and fuzzy inside, as ashammed as I am to admit it.

I gave an A- because Marvin knows what he is doing!! If you noticed the profile of all the players taken, they were all either the 'hardest workingr' or the fastest on their respective teams. Basically Marvin is building a team who has the heart and feet of a Champion!!!
