**before I start this rant, I have to say this: It is entirely possible that the Jets are a much better team than they showed yesterday, and that the only reason they looked so bad was because they faced possibly the most talented team in the NFL and this years Super Bowl Champs**

Now then....judging from what I saw yesterday these are the problems I found with the team

1) No rushing game. I'll hold off judgement fully on this because Thomas Jones was coming off an injury, and the Pats have always had a great Run D. But we just could not establish anything on the ground

2) NO pass rush. Tom Brady had all the time in the world in the pocket. He could have taken the snap, read a newspaper, made himself a sandwich, then found Randy Moss open for a 20 yard gain. Last year when we beat the patriots we confused Brady with a bunch of different blitz schemes, yesterday they were nowhere to be found

3) No Run D. The Pats really didnt run much, but when they did they were gashing us for nearly 6 yards per carry. We had no answer at all. That might have been because we were focusing so hard on trying to stop the Pass game. Which leads me to....

4) Pass D. I actually thought our Defensive Backs and LB's did a fantastic job in pass coverage. The only reason we got beat so bad through the air was because we got absolutely no pressure on Brady. Revis actually impressed me, and I think he'll be a good player, but as long as QB's have 5 full minutes to sit in the pocket and wait for someone to get open, the Pass D will look worse than it really is.

Again, I could be overreacting. It was the Pats. We play another tough team and possible Super Bowl contender in Baltimore next week, so I'm gonna wait and see how we play against Miami in week 3 before I make a full judgement

You know what? I'm feeling a little optimistic. The Pats are really making the Chargers look bad, and the Chargers are one of the most talented teams in the league, so maybe it wasn't just us being bad last week maybe it was them being good.

As for this week, yeah we blew in the first half but we really turned it on in the 2nd Half. Clemens seemed like he started to get comfortable and get in a rhythym. if it wasnt for FUCKING JUSTIN FUCMING MCCAREINS!!!! we would have tied the game and who knows we might have won in OT.

I knew as soon as the schedules were released that we were going to start out 0-2, and I think this upcoming game is the most important game of the year. We have to show that we can bounce back and be resilient. If we start 0-3 with 2 divisional losses, forget it the seasons done

Mkae sure when you make your Impressing/Depressing thread McCareins name goes right up there at the top lol.

I gotta admit man I have been backing Pennington for a long time but man did it feel good to see a QB throw rockets across the feild. He made some throws that quite frankly Pennington couldnt have made.

What impressed me the most however was that he took a beating the whole game but hung in there and threw 3 passes that should have been caught for TD's (I dont mean to get on Coles but I have seen him make much harder catches than that one). He ended up having a pretty good game.

19/37
260 yards
1 TD 2 INT

Thats not bad for your first start in the NFL going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

This is f*cking embarassing. Cant even score on the worst defensive team in football. And what the hell is up with us having to take like 3 time outs and 4 delay of game penalties because we cant get the play off? Now we're down 10 with only 2 time out. FUCKING PATHETIC!!!

If the Jets lose to the Giants its time to make a move at the QB position.

Let me hear why you tell me why you think Chad played a good game and then I will tell you why I think he didnt.

Chad played a great game (32/39, 290 yards and a TD. 14 straight passes completed) EXCEPT for those 2 costly INT's. Yes, they hurt real bad, but Chad almost NEVER does that. His strength is taking care of the ball. It's not like putting in a rookie gunslinger will help cut down on costly INT's

If anything, out run game was to blame. Jones and Washington combined for 16 carries for 59 yards.
