Who Should We Draft???

Say that you are the GM of the Bears and it is draft day. The top three picks are 1. SF- Alex Smith 2. Mia- Cedric Benson 3. Cle- Aaron Rodgers, and you are now on the clock. Who would you choose and why?? I personally would choose Derrick Johnson who is arguably the best player in this draft and will make an imediate impact on whatever team he goes to. adding him to our young and talented defense will take us from good to possible great. Why Not Braylon?? Too Inconsistent. Why Not Williams?? Doesnt have the top end speed and we can address WR in F/A.

I'm going to have to disagree with you just a little bit...I think they should pick either Edwards or Williams. None of these guys are perfect, but you gotta pick somebody! I dont think they'll go ahead and pick Derrick Johnson because of the LB they're already paying...paying Urlacher a mint, and they're going to have ot resign Briggs at some point for a good chunk of change. So if they pick Johnson at #4, wow, they're paying LOTS of money just on LBs!! So sweetness34(love the shortname), that's why I think they'll go WR....but I wouldn't put it past them to take a RB either....!!..

Well Shea, I made this post before they signed Muhammad when I was very against selecting Edwards b/c of inconsistency problems. But now my pick would be Edwards because he won't have to come in and be the #1 guy. He'll most likely start out at the #2 position and work his way up. I also think that Braylon compliments Mush better than Williams does because Braylon is much more of a stretch the field/deep thread WR than Williams is.

That being said, I still say that DJ is the best player in this draft and I would elated if they picked him but I highly doubt it'll happen.
