Default Houston Texans

It appears that the Texans are actually trying to build an offense for David Carr this offseason.

They have just signed Jeb Putzier to be their starting TE, that will greatly increase the short passing lane for Carr, seeing as how he doesn't have time to throw deep passes.

In addition, the Bengals decided not to match the offer sheet that the Texans placed on Kevin Walter last week. Even though his stats may not show much, he actually impressed alot of fans here in Cincinnati this past season with his skills. He is a legitamite #3 reciever.
This offseason the Texans have lost 2 of their top 3 wr's with the indecision to resign Gaffney and Bradford and failed in signing Givens or Hillard.
So their new depthchart at wr appears to be Andre Johnson/Jerome Mathis and Kevin Walter/Derick Armstrong fighting for the #3 slot this spring.

They've also signed Jameel Brook, who is a very solid blocking fullback.

***They have lost wells as their primary backup for Davis. So if they don't draft Bush they will still at least need a backup rb.

I'm pissed at Jameel Cook leaving Tampa Bay. I liked him alot, he blocked, and had great hands coming out of the backfield. Also, Alstott won't be back next season. This is his last.

of course as a denver fan, i think a great FB that should have made the pro bowl last year is kyle johnson, FB, for denver.......he had 7 total TD's (6 recieving) last year and blocked for bell and anderson who combined for over 1900 yds and 20 TDS..................
