Default Charles Woodson, Julian Peterson. Just some of the few

Big name free agents.

CHARLES WOODSON
Woodson coming off a broken leg for the 2nd time in 4 years, has been paid 10 mil + for the last 3 years in Oakland. Has it gotten sour? Many say yes but have been saying for years that he was gone. If he leaves Oakland you almost take it to the bank that he will be in Cleveland or Cinci. He's from Ohio and both of those teams need a secondary player Quick.

JULIAN PETERSON
Like Woodson Peterson has been battleing injurie problems over the last 3 seasons. When healthy is the one of the best linebackers in the NFL. Both this players could easily swap teams, Peterson has already said he will not return.

Woodson is aging and is overpaid. I wouldn't want him for his big price.

Only problem is that the raiders have the absolute worse cap situation next year and will cutting players instead of signing them

I don't know about Oakland having the worst cap situation next season. Tampa Bay is also going to have trouble signing players. They still need to re-sign Simms as well, and after the season he just had he may want a little more cash. Hopefully they cut Gresie to free up some space.

With only the players they have signed for next year, Oakland is suppose to already be 30 mil over. Tampa is only 8 mil over and they can afford to cut Griese. Oakland cant really afford to cut anyone.

oakland is in a perfect spot, They have alot of depth at d-tackle Washington will be cut, Woodson will not be making 12 mil next year like he did the last 3 years, Gibson will be cut, he's due 8-10 mil next year, Collins is more than likley out he's due like 8-10 mil, Barry sims is prob cut after camp and they will move langston walker back to rt and move gallery to his natural spot at lt. They will either start Walter at Qb or make a trade for volek or Culpepper. The Raiders are never in cap problems, all of you should know that by now...

The raiders have horrible cap problems. If you remember last year had it not been for Rich Gannon restructuring before his retirement they would have been screwed. That 30 mil doesnt include Woodson, only players they currently have signed.

It is not easy to just cut players, sometimes that hurts the cap more than it helps. As of right now, all they have signed at DT are Sapp, Hawthorne, and Washington. The raiders are NOT going to be able to sign any big name free agents.

If they made a trade for Volek, that would hurt their cap number and Culpepper isnt going anywhere. Childress is confident he has his guy and will give him at least a season or two.

Peterson would be a much better fit in plenty of other places besides Oakland. Based on the current cap room, I like him back in SF, Houston, STL, or Cleveland. Long shots would be GB, Arz, Balt, or Dallas.
