Default Predictions on Most Shocking FA Move in Offseason

The rumor I have been most interested in is Tony Gonzalez going to Green Bay. Why this move would Be great for the Packers (and i am keeping my fingers crossed that the rumors are true) I don't see Gonzo leaving KC. But the move would make sense McCarthy needs a TE like that for His Offense. Also, have heard rumblings that the Packers are going to extend an offer to restricted FA Michael Turner of SD. THe only thing that gives me hope of either of these moves happening is the fact that Green Bay is some 30 million under the cap and IF favre retires will be even more under the cap.

Any other shocking FA predictions out there?

I doubt Gonzo leaves KC. I think Eric Johnson would be a perfect match for GB or maybe even Daniel Graham.

I see Damon Huard and maybe Rattay brought in somewhere to compete for a starting job

LBs go everywhere and get way too much money (Fletcher, Adalius, Briggs, Godfrey, Kawika, June)

Samuel leaves the Pats to find big money along with Banta Cain so again we all wonder who the hell is playing defense for the Pats and why are they playing so well?

With luck, Justin Smith goes to MN to give them the pass rusher they desparately need

The Redskins again try to be the Red Sox (or Yankees) and buy their team by paying way too much money for guys like Leonard Litte, Phillip Buccannon, Ricky Manning Jr, Leonard Davis, Michael Lewis, Drew Bennett, Shiancoe, or Reggie Kelly.

Nate Clements again gets franchised (i dont think he signed a longterm deal yet has he?)

Kerry Collins again waits until training camp is over to sign with a team and then gets yanked 3 weeks into the season

All good predictions... and i think NAte Clemments is on the FA market again this season (unless of course he is franchised once again). And I totally forgot about Eric Johnson being a FA that would be a good call to if they can't get Gonzo

Damon Huard comes to Cleveland and wins the starting job.

Where are you hearing those? I have insider and everything and I haven't heard any of that. I've heard a lot of forum fans saying things like that but nothing as extreme as that. I even read an article by Peter King who is probably the best in the buisness and he said Green Bay probably won't pursue Tony G hard unless Favre comes back.

I do think Tony G is going to test the market but the only way I think he'll sign with Green Bay is if Favre comes back. If not then I think Tony G goes to where the money is.

Thompson won't pursue Turner. Turner is a restricted free agent and San Diego is going to at least going to give him the 2nd highest tender offer and that'll cost GB a 1st round pick to sign him to a contract sheet. No way Ted Thompson gives up a 1st for Turner.

I hope you don't get your hopes up otherwise you'll be a dissapointed Packer fan.

I believe Nat Clements and Lance Briggs to the Bucs.
Even though he isnt a free agent i believe Simeon Rice will end up in Jacksonville
