Default Lost Semi Finals, No Chance of Championship. I Blame It On My Horrible Kicker Curse!

For the past 5 weeks I've made horrible kicker decisions. Instead of just keeping one kicker in I've been switching them for God knows that reason. Every single week I've done it its come back to bite me in the ass when the kicker I put in doesn't do much and the kicker I switched out has a big game. 5 weeks in a row. Last week, I switched out Folk to put in Feely. Folk scored 12, Feely scored 2. This week I switched in Kasay. Then at the last minute I switched Feely back in. Feely put up 7, Kasay put up 14. Had I not messed up with the kickers, I'd be celebrating being in the championships.

Ah well, I hate thinking what could have been......... I'll stop crying now

Though break. Kickers are unpredictable... I usually just go with the guy I got in the lineup already and try not to second guess myself.

The way I look at it is that it didn't come down to the kicker but rather the other guys you drafted. A kicker should be drafted in one of the last rounds of the draft so if you are relying on one of your last round picks to win a game for you your in trouble. I feel you though on second guessing things and losing out that way.

well, i dont know... i agree about the kicker but it was more so that the guy i was playing also had a great team and it was so close that it did come down to the kickers. i didnt make any other bad moves as who i played, but with the kickers i did and it cost me the championship. oh well

I just try to pick up a kicker earlier in the draft than most will to get a better kicker. This year on my teams I had Gostowski, Reed, and Graham to start the season. Graham got hurt, but someone dropped Gostowski in that league so I got lucky with that. I try not to rely on someone picked in the area of a #4 receiver to start for me.
